Trump is sending out videos (2 yesterday) downplaying racial hatred and animosity as being generated by the media and hysteria. Do we follow his lead or not?
Picking out extremely ugly, blood boiling, rage inducing anecdotes like what happened to this elderly woman fuels hatred against a race based on an individual case. Like the left gins up with the Floyd death.
I’m not saying passivity is the answer. Cases like Dorothy Dow’s need to be seen. But if the intent is to make blacks and whites hate each other - don’t we have enough of that already? Hate the people who committed the crime, not everyone with the same skin color.
If the point of the post is to show a double standard, fine.
If the point of a post is to garner an emotional anger response against a group based on the actions of a member of that group, then it’s leftist style tactics. The fault likes with the INDIVIDUAL committing the act, not with the race or class.
Picking anecdotes of blacks being thugs and murderers does not reflect the fact that most blacks are not thugs - just as most whites are not racists. The president is trying to calm down racial hate rhetoric by showing that it’s being ginned up through deception and distorted presentation of facts that leave out other truths. That’s a better example to follow in my opinion.
