Then the game became a huge success and Druckmann saw an opportunity to shoehorn in his woke politics, so Ellie was retroactively made a lesbian in the DLC, with the debut trailer for the sequel revolving almost entirely around her lesbian romance; and now we're spending half the sequel playing a buff tranny who kills our previously beloved characters while every other white male we encounter is a homophobic religious cultist that the player character brutally and graphically murders.

There was an issue with Rome 2: Total War. Now this game is a strategy war simulator that advertised historic accuracy, and it is pretty easy to predict their target audience, men 25+. Which of course after 5 years after the game was released, was pretty clear.
Now they hired some SJW gamer diversity hire, and 5 years after the game was released, decided to add diversity to the game. Things such as 50% of the generals are female, and introducing some African generals to Rome. They also forced you to use the females in your house as generals to level them up so they could do espionage and political intrigue, whereas before they could do intrigue to level them up. The games ratings were flooded so bad instantly, from like 10/10 user review to like 1/10.
They obviously do not care about their target demographic, and rather are producing propaganda.

All of the groups like IGN and whatnot are giving it 10/10. Actual gamers rate it low. Graphically, it's great. Gameplay I think people seem to enjoy, I haven't played it myself though. The story is shit, however.
For anyone interested in the story:
Ellie finds out that she could have saved the world if Joel would have sacrificed her. She really dislikes joel after this but are working to mend their relationship and ellies main point to joel is that in this world it was her one chance at mattering. Early on Joel finds a guitar and gifts it to ellie and teaches her to play.
Abby tracks down joel and kills him.
Ellie gets to witness it and vows revenge.
Ellie and lesbian lover Dina head to seatle and destroy various members of the crew for 3 days. During this time we find out Dina is pregnant.
Then we get to switch over to Abby to start all over. Abby befriends some people of the opposing faction. The opposing faction ends up "accidently" killing their own mother and then one gets killed by abbys commander, ultimately leaving abby and a young enemy alone and together.
Then the stories merge and Abby is about to kill ellie but lets her go instead. (This is like half the game and ultiamtly I didn't think made much sense... generally if two parties looking for one another get seperated and then you play through each of them its because their timelines are moving past one another, they are getting close but just missing finding one another... but in this case its just Abby with a whole different thing to do then when she done she just happens to come back to discover it was ellie killing people and not the opposing faction in the area, idk, it was stupid it seems like it makes over half the game a required side quest that had no real bearing on the story being told, why would anyone give wtwo shits about WLF v the scars?)
A year later or so they (ellie and dina) are raising the kid as basically a "happy" lesbian family.
They get information on where abby is.
Dina wants to drop it and make a nice life together, ellie wants her revenge for joel.
Ellie goes out and finds abby and her new friend are captive and will die shortly, but cuts them free anyway. They begin to fight but as ellie is about to win she just stops and lets abby leave after a seeing a quick flashback of joel. Durring the fight abby bites off her pinky and ring finger.
Ellie returns home; empty, find her guitar still there, but cannot play now due to the missing fingers.
Basically the point is the thing Elie wanted and thought she couldn't have she could have and did have and then threw it away for her revenge...

Loads of good or potentially good franchises have been destroyed by this kind of cheap writing. Run out of ideas then just have one of the characters go wrong for the sake of people going wrong it happens.
All the situations have to be extremely tense and with the problem being that people have become completely unhinged. It becomes stressful, tiring and draining to watch.
They did it with the expanse, with stargate universe, with falling skies, etc. Some are worse than others but the plots always end up with with this horrible human conflict where people just become incapable of seeing reason and are locked into this intense emotional state.
Always with the human drama like it's a soap opera but even worse the characters act as though they're just scripted and are stuck to their scripting rather than as though they're human beings.
All the real problems in these series with this kind of writing are the script writers. I'd like to see these films go meta where these characters all lose it and just slaughter their script writers.

Haven't played video games in twenty years. I'll say that after watching the review videos that this one clearly sucks and has a preposterous plot. In a real post apocalyptic scenario womens' value will be high...as reproductives. A tranny would most likely not even be allowed to eat if the group wants any chance at long term survival. Fury Road is vastly more plausible.

Ever since word got out it's an SJW porn (visually pornographic, but mostly "story porn" where SJWs rise up against white men) everyone has been ragging on it. They have literally got YouTube channels cancelled for talking about it, not even showing anything.
They know it's a dumpster fire and are doing everything they can to ensure maximum day one sales. They know word of mouth is gonna kill it's legs and ability to sell long term.
I loved Uncharted. All of them. Even the tedious and dated first one. I beg and plead and hope for a new treasure hunting adventure game as good or better than Uncharted 2-4. I even semi-enjoyed Last of Us 1.
This makes me so sad. And angry.
Have you played the previous gen Tomb Raiders?
I never liked UC, and one big reason is Anniversary, Legend, and Underworld were much more satisfying in terms of gameplay

I'm old, I grew up with original Tomb Raider and yeah I've played all of the recent ones. Gameplay might have been better but nothing beats Uncharted storylines, IMO. It got me reading old biographies and historical accounts of frontiersmen/explorers again lol
There's just nothing around like these games or Indiana Jones, Goonies, Romancing the Stone etc anymore. It fucking sucks.
Hell, I even liked National Treasure, Fool's Gold and Sahara haha
and thats how Naughty Dog became a laughing stock. btw they reference crash bandicoot, the game that essentially made the company what it was as a porn title in game named "Smash brandi's cooch"

Sony has been striking down anything related to this woke garbage. It leaked months in advance due to their incompetence, and immediately received negative reviews.
