I could play video games and eat like a champion though. So not really real world applicable. And waking up and getting out of bed the next morning was like herding all Karen’s cats.

I smoked for too long. Like daily for about 10 years. I always had a roof over my head, always had a job, always had food.
But I also spent 10 years basically running in place. Looking back on it, it’s my biggest regret that those years set me back so much in life. I had to start a new career in my 30s surrounded by people 10 years younger than me. It was kinda humiliating.
I could have been starting a career, starting my family, being productive but instead I whiled away those years with my head up my ass.
It’s awful, but I know many drug stories are much much worse so I’m pretty grateful I didn’t fuck up more than I did.
