...ruling & request of yesterday. I have wanted to take care of DACA recipients better than the Do Nothing Democrats, but for two years they refused to negotiate - They have abandoned DACA. Based on the decision the Dems can’t make DACA citizens. They gained nothing! @DHSgov

Unless of course they go home, go to an American embassy, fill out the proper immigration demands, go through the full and complete process and wait like everyone else to see if they are granted the privilege to immigrate to America or not.

Dependent children aren't adults and thus a crime committed as a child at the behest of an adult does not fall on the child.

19
Liberty4All 19 points ago +19 / -0

Neither are children allowed to benefit from crimes committed by their parents - not in any other aspect of law or society.

As one example, when parents steal because the family is poor, the kids don't get to keep the money. The parent goes to jail, the kids go to a relative or foster care.

deleted 8 points ago +8 / -0

Cantshadowbanthemall -8 points ago +1 / -9

Foster care, not jail. To deny them the option of seeking citizenship on the illegal entry is jail. Instead you hit them for what they did. They did not over stay a visa nor did they, as adults, enter illegally. So at most you can delay their option for citizenship but not deny.

No, fuck that. They came here illegally, kick them out and don't let them back in. If I'd done that I would've been banned from the country for a minimum of 10 years and arrested on sight.

Legal immigration is far worse for this country than illegal immigration.

Except they vote 90% left and are incapable of building a country like this themselves.

Legal immigration is invasion.

9
vote_for_MAGA_2020 9 points ago +11 / -2

Nothing wrong with legal immigration? Tell that to all the American born software engineers who can’t get a job, or the workers for that one utility company who had to train their H1B replacements before being fired.

A majority of these legal immigrants come from countries with communist policies. Do you really think they will vote much differently here?

This had nothing to do with skill. It had to do with companies paying barest of wages possible.

6
Tardigrade 6 points ago +7 / -1

If you say theres nothing wrong with it, you also have to acknowledge theres really nothing "right" with it either. My own family has immigrants (none on the public dole of course) but I still recognize it as charity, not a right. No one should feel any obligation to support legal immigration.

2
Necalli 2 points ago +2 / -0

There are only 3 groups who benefit from immigration, legal or otherwise. First is the immigrant themself who has just improved their ability to make money and enjoy life. Second are companies whom can exploit the cheap labor who also doesn't know their rights, or have an understanding of the work ethics of the local culture, thus accepting and being honored by things that no other worker would tolerate. Third are groups like the Demoncrats who exploit the slaves ignorance, shoving them full of support and nice words, hoping they'll vote for them in the future.

Beyond these 3 groups nobody else benefits from immigration, infact their lives are negatively impacted. This is true for the people of both the source country, and the host country. There are only 2 forms of immigration I support at all. Marriage, because I'm a hopeless romantic and think spouses should be able to immigrate to be together. The second is refugees, but only VERY carefully vetted refugees, who are compatible of our cultural beliefs, and under the requirement that when the crisis in their homeland is complete, they must return home.

It's the right thing to do but here come the beaner rallies again. So tired of hearing about how these are all great talented hardworking people. The DACA people I've known are average at best. We are told we can't paint people with a broad brush but if they are illegal beaners then we paint them all as hard working good people?

I know a DACA guy who knocked up an American, married her for citizenship, quit his part-time job at Taco Bell and promptly skipped town. Now you and I get to pay for that fat kid to grow up to most likely be a problem himself. No more immigration, deport all illegals and their kids now. Ignore their rallies and demands. If they feel they are in limbo then they need to take it up with their shitty parents.

6
ZacPetkanas 6 points ago +6 / -0

So tired of hearing about how these are all great talented hardworking people.

Aren't we being selfish by keeping those people here? Think how much these people could help their home countries if they'd just go back....

2
NegativeRainbow 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's even worse...That we are taking their best and brightest away from their nation. We should be ashamed of the fact that we're taking the very people needed for their nation to improve themselves. There would be LESS need for refugees/asylum if they had a better nation. That we should be sending the people back once things calm down so they can rebuild instead of keeping them here. You don't get to decide to stay in the hospital just because it has cable tv and food brought to you 3 times a day...

9

7

Honestly if there was a flaw, it's actually better that it get fixed now than used against us later.

5
ParadigmShift2070 5 points ago +5 / -0

that was never a requirement to rescind executive order

2
fpw9 2 points ago +2 / -0

King Obama makes a decree he admits is not constitutional, SCOTUS denies EO to rescind it, and repels any challenge with "sorry, you forgot to dot an i."

But yeah, maybe this time Lucy's finally going to let us kick the ball!

4
aussie_maga 4 points ago +4 / -0

The other side wins by delaying. I would not be surprised if they find another "technicality". Roberts probably does not want to go down in history ruling for DACA, for whatever legacy he considers himself as SC justice or maybe he just knows its indefensible. He will punt it again.

2
raticy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Indefensible rulings aren't really a problem for Roberts - ie. Obamacare.

4
axrevolutionai 4 points ago +10 / -6

I'm fine with permanent residency

No welfare for 5 years and NO VOTING EVER

and an option, the military is the ONLY pathway to citizenship

6
DarkMemeDuck 6 points ago +7 / -1

Do you really want a bunch of people who already broke the law to get here armed with guns and the cutting edge military technology? I, for one, sure as hell don't.

3
axrevolutionai 3 points ago +6 / -3

Eh, some of the DACA kids have actually been educated here and would willingly serve. Boot is quite the awakening. Our DIs are the best and would very quickly break down any fakes. I'd love the DIs to know which kids are DACA so they can reaaaally lean into them.

2

Before Mexicans hated blacks, now they hate blacks, whites, Asians....they hate everyone except other Latinos of their same background. So Guatemalans and Mexicans don't get along if they are first generation immigrants.

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm fine with them being in limbo with no welfare or voting ever. If they have an issue with that they need to ask their parents why they chose to put them in this position.

3

4

4
StaryHickory 4 points ago +4 / -0

Things that must be changed before DACA is considered

  1. Moratorium on immigration for 10 years followed by hard limits on the number of immigrants that can come in. No more than 150,000 a year. And with QUOTAS from all countries so we don't get flooded by the third world

  2. Enforce checks on immigrants to make sure they are ideologically compatible with a free society and can speak English

  3. End anchor babies

  4. Shore up the borders, deport all illegals

  5. stop chain immigration

  6. reign in worker visa porgrams (its getting abused and so are Americans)

This is what I would require to consider DACA

4
Italians_Invented_2A 4 points ago +4 / -0

So they wasted 2 years. They did it on purpose to postpone the decision after the next elections.

4
spezisthedevil 4 points ago +4 / -0

4
MerlynTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

since Trump's recission of DACA was struck down on the basis of the Administrative Procedures Act, why not argue (either for Trump or for a state) that Obama's original DACA decision violated that same Administrative Procedures Act?

In the words of Jocko Willinck; Good.

Now the admin can improve the submittal of this correction. It gives the lawyers more time to perfect their platform on the matter, reducing the angles at which the left can attack the argument.

.Win may not like that this happened, I get it, actions like this only continue the idea that we have an obstructionist government. An expansion of the rebellion from the left. I get it. But, we have to look for the good in the situation. To complain that so and so is against us Everytime we are set back only makes our side fall to hypocrisy as we attack the left for their victimhood mentality.

While this opinion from the SCOTUS may not be as bad as what they did the other day with employment, it still supports the speration from our constitutional legacy. I can't say "flipping tables" is the correct response. But, we can look for the opportunity and capitalize on it. Cement yourself in what we as Americans hold most virtuous and lean into that. Buckle down, overcompensate, and lead by example. This is America, the land of opportunity and freedom. Be proud of that, and let us show the left what it means and how it is the only way.

2
MythArcana 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe include a few 10 x 12 glossy photos of Roberts fondling children on Epstein's island. Maybe that will speed things up a bit.

2
Sarahbethheck 2 points ago +2 / -0

First, end chain migration. Then give them legal status, on condition that the adults that brought them here (law breakers) go back home. They can visit, just like every other law abiding immigrant family. They tore their own families apart when they broke the law. Also, no protection for daca kids who are in gangs or have any criminal record.

2
techadm 2 points ago +2 / -0

Everyone knows Obama’s executive order on DACA (whether you like it or not) is unconstitutional. Everyone knows an executive order can be nullified by the next president (like it or not) So the Supreme Court ruling was a sign of how lawlessness is creeping into our institutions

2
RollWave 2 points ago +2 / -0

if the issue was "not enough paperwork submitted" - couldn't the courts have said that 3 years ago?

they've been trying to run out the clock since day 1.

2
Beat_to_Quarters 2 points ago +2 / -0

It got ruled against on a technicality, but what "rule" or procedure is going to suddenly convince the lib judges that a president cant rescind a previous president's EO? Roberts didnt argue that. Is this what Soto was talking about? Would she actually flip the decision if the Trump administration "asked properly"?
