Sometimes you do all you can do and it's not enough. We were involved parents, but not helicopters. Sacrificed to live in one of the best school systems in our state. My son was an Eagle Scout with bronze palm, acolyte at church and National Honor Society. He got a computer science degree and got a job in the Bay area, then moved to NYC. He wants to donate his money to one of those bail groups instead of helping small businesses reopen. My heart is broken over his leftist views.
He is lacking self-love in some part of his life due to past trauma.
Is there anywhere where a parent could tell their child, "I love you" .... or maybe "I'm sorry, please forgive me, I love you, thank you"?
Parents are limited in the love they can give to their child... by the love THAT THEY CAN GIVE TO THEMSELVES (often limited by their own parents)... WE MUST BREAK THAT CYCLE.. 100% SELF-LOVE (THAT THEN RADIATES OUTWARDS TO OTHERS)
