Lol actually I don’t find it offensive as I don’t get offended easily because I’m not a little bitch. But for arguments sake in 2020, it should be offensive to non-Caucasian folk.

The term implies that the first thing you see when you meet me is my skin color. That’s the very first characteristic you judge me by, therefore every single stereotype you know about my skin color applies to me, right? Fuck off.

Forget my height, my weight, and that I’m so good looking, none of that matters when you meet me.

Why would you relegate my existence by the color of my skin. I could be a major dick and it wouldn’t matter because I’m brown.. or rather a “person of color.”

Another thing is, why do people find it okay to say people of color, but not colored people. The words are literally switched around...

Which would you rather say?

People of color or colored people Mower of lawns or lawn mower Carrier of mail or mail carrier Sitter of houses or house sitter so on and so forth...

Cmon man....

I’m not a person of color, I’m a person of character...

If "colored person" is racist how is "person of color" not?

thaifoodrules [S] 47 points ago +47 / -0

Exactly, I work with a bunch of ignorant leftists and I told them I don’t want to be labeled a person of color. I told them to call me a colored person lol!! The look on their faces were hilarious!

How about "person of abundant pigmentation?"

As a fair skinned freckled girl who's had more sunburns than she can count - I envy.

In the medical field, it’s now considered inappropriate to refer to someone with, say, diabetes, as a diabetic or diabetic patient. Instead, they insist on you using the phrase person with diabetes.

Clown world gymnastics. That’s all it is.

ColoradoTrumper45 5 points ago +5 / -0

The word "Moron" began as a dignified technical term for the mentally challenged. There was a symposium for doctors that ran or managed mental wards, and they voted on what to call their patients.

It is a weird feature of human nature to try and mask unpleasantness with jargon.

3
fdagasfd 3 points ago +3 / -0

This seems to match the norm, the left just forces us to change the actual words we use to describe the same things over time because they can't accept reality.

4
ColoradoTrumper45 4 points ago +4 / -0

The left believes that the words are the insult. Therefore if we eliminate the words or change the vocabulary the insult can be eliminated, and humanity is made better.

The problem is that the meaning conveyed by the insulting words is the actual insult. In fact, the intention to insult is the underlying source of the insult, regardless of word selection. This means that insults and other derogatory language is innate to human nature and conditioned on intentionality. As such, the vocabulary instituted to eliminate the insult will become derogatory as its usage becomes more widely adopted.

Is that kinda like when doctors write PITA at the top of a patients written paperwork that gets shredded after it’s transcribed into eHR? Lol

2
ColoradoTrumper45 2 points ago +2 / -0

That is more of an internal management thing.

Moron was adopted as the scientific term for patients that had previously been labeled as Idiots. To be fair, this is during the same time as when doctors were still arguing about germ theory, and deciding if washing your hands after an autopsy was necessary.

zakat 2 points ago +2 / -0

I am diabetic (the genetic version) and I've heard about this as well (though not from someone in the medical field, but in an online forum for diabetics).

The argument was "You are more than your illness, so refering to you as only your illness is dehumanizing you. If we say 'person with diabetes' we focus on you being a person who just suffers from this disease".

Honestly stfu. Diabetic is shorter than "person with diabetes" (and don't even try to make it an acronym "PWD"...). And honestly if you have such a low self esteem that you put your illness at the forefront - be lucky that you don't have bigger issues in your life to worry about.

I much prefer being called. Dumbass than “person that is an ass who is dumb.”

2
WalkFastGoHome 2 points ago +2 / -0

Jesus christ, that's retarded. I'm in that field and haven't come across that yet, I'll have to keep my eyes out for that type of language.

4
firestorm117 4 points ago +4 / -0

This. I'm not persay offended by it when people use it, but I am irritated because the people that use it are SJWs who would get offfended by the use of "Colored person". It's the exact same thing just said backwords.

Even Caucasians aren't pure 100% white though, and have color. Many are dark, from tanning or whatever. Some darker than middle eastern or Mexican, Asian, or other people of 'color'. Everyone is a color, so calling some people 'color' and others not seems to be just another way to discriminate and divide people into political tribes.

Even pure albinos, who have no melanin at all have a color, red, the color of the blood that's the same for everyone. High incidence of albinism among some Africans. More often pink skin and yellow hair and blue eyes like a Swede. They are lost in the color scheme.

You’re right in a sense. The way I see it, though, most of the new critical race theory, BLM, social justice think when you drill down to the bottom of it all they do seem to think white people are magical beings who can do things other races can’t. They aren’t shy about expressing this constantly. What else is “white privilege” other than agreeing with white supremacists that whites are inherently better than other races? I don’t believe that but they clearly do so that’s cool I guess..

This particular struggle over names is one long series of names becoming offensive and replaced with new names until they become offensive and replaced in turn. By now it should be obvious that reinventing language doesn't do anything for the underlying problem of feeling offended, it just launches a new round of virtue signalling and censorship. Tearing down statues and erasing history is more of the same.

I agree. People didn't used to talk about color much before Obama. People now talk about it all the time and treat everyone different and lump people together in stupid little groups so they can generalize and make assumptions and treat them differently- the exact definition of racism. Most people don't care about that nonsense. We're all individuals, not color swatches.

8
sir_rockness 8 points ago +8 / -0

I'm with you.

Race is a farce. At its best its a great conversation and many funny jokes come from it. At its worst its a tool of victimhood and oppression.

BTW I'm not caucasian. As far as I know none of my ancestors hailed from the Caucasus and furthermore it was a racist, naturalist that thought some people were genetically superior that came from the Caucasus.

I reject racist naturalism... I reject race.

We are members of the human race. And until we stop focusing on race, talking about race like its real... we'll never get rid of racism. Its a evil naturalist concept that has lended credence to all sorts of evils (Nazism one of the biggest movements that got power from it)

6
WinstonSmith1984 6 points ago +6 / -0

And until we stop focusing on race, talking about race like its real...

we did for a while in the 70's, 80's, 90's until Rodney King and hustlers like Jackson and Sharpton realized the money well of racism was going dry.

7
charbatch 7 points ago +7 / -0

I want to know exactly at which shade you become a person of color. We should demand that Democrats point it out explicitly on a color chart.

7

As a Sicilian I also am deeply curious.

2
inquimouse 2 points ago +2 / -0

Many people around India and Sri Lanka want to know too. They may be Ayrian or Dravidian but they are purple-black, as dark as any African.

VoterIDMatters 5 points ago +5 / -0

Don’t worry friend - we Trump supporters see you as an America citizen and nothing else - we don’t look at you and see color. If you commit a crime and we witness it we will see color but only because we want to give the police as accurate a description as possible. But you’re a normal person, an upstanding citizen, so that won’t come into play.

Many of us are unable to see color because we see each and every human being as being made in the image of God, bearing the Maker’s mark. Racism is for the dimwitted and cursed...

5
WishdoctorsSong 5 points ago +5 / -0

Person of color is also the perfect fuck whitey term, separate out whites from non-whites. It completely ignores the diversity of cultures of non-whites and tries to lump them all together into a single group for easier manipulation by the globalists.

4
ColoradoTrumper45 4 points ago +4 / -0

It also lumps together and ignores the diversity of white cultures. There is a huge difference in the traditional foods, art, music and holidays of, for instance, the Polish and the Welsh.

4
krzyzowiec 4 points ago +4 / -0

Also the term “minority”. Jesse Lee Peterson brought this up recently. If you are an American, how are you a minority?

People aren’t treated differently based on skin color, legally speaking, so the term makes no sense other than to make you feel small and apart from everyone else.

No one thinks abut the color of my skin. Because it is a fact that freedom actually makes your cock bigger. Not just because it is erect and bigger. But bigger-bigger.

The same miracle that transformed me from a midpacker can transform anyone else to the head of the field. You just have to love freedom. Lies and bullshit are just totally limp Love freedom, cock bigger. Simple. Skin color does not impact equation.

I advise freedom. Always do. We need a lot more Pedes out there. And we got to do whatever is necessary to encourage the conception of Lil' Pedes. Which includes making sure are dicks are as massive and rigid as possible in order to safely deliver precious load to a sacred space.

America is counting on you.

Or choose not to.

When there is nothing but racism in your heart, then race is all you see.

Welcome to 2020, where you're racist if you DON'T judge someone by the color of their skin.

So whatever you do, don't be racist and judge people by the content of their character.

If given the green light you can burn and loot shit.

That’s liberals though. They are truly racists. When they see a person and take their measure race is noted and their behavior changes accordingly. The greatest irony is that calling someone “colored” was deemed offensive for as long as I’ve been alive, but a few years ago they changed the phrase “colored people” into “people of color” and somehow it’s the proper way to refer to non-whites. Lol nah bruh.

"person of color' is inherently racist by pure logic deduction. At it's core it explicitly singles out a specific race as being different than the rest, by it's own definition it's a binary term, you have "persons of color" and "white persons". The implication is that white persons are different from all other races.
