A game where you play as a buff tranny getting pounded from behind by another man (Yes that's an actual scene in the game) get's best reviews of any game in a long time by the media but gets BTFO'd by users.

Just wanted to clarify something. There's nothing in the story of the game to indicate that the person you're referring to is a tranny. It's just a buff woman.
That being said, there is trans stuff in the game, but it's with a totally different character. The Asian person with the shaved head and bow is actually a girl that wants to be a boy. You can find cutscenes of the game to see everything they say about it.
For the record, I think the first game is one of the most overrated video games ever, EVEN THOUGH I ENJOYED IT. Not defending this sequel in the slightest. It's a complete dumpster fire.
But, I just figured I'd give out correct info.
The "professional" reviews of this game are showing 2 things.
The journalists are politically in line with what's being talked about in the game.
They're being paid with money or access to review the game positively.
Honestly, it's pretty easy to say that both things are most likely to be going on. The reviewers were not allowed to talk about LITERALLY HALF of the content of the game, but they still rated it the way they did as a means to advertise it. Not to mention, the story is one of the primary reasons people play this franchise, and there are so many plot holes combined with other idiotic writing decisions that completely destroy the legacy of the first game and make this entry feel like a middle finger.
The fan base is going to despise this game, and rightfully so. They can bitch about the politics of it, but it's honestly not as bad as how dumb the general writing is. People who don't like it will be unjustly labeled with all of the usual labels, but they'll be correct in their criticism in that the game is a completely illogical mess.
