The only strategy to combat this is to fully embrace it:

We must push this behavior as far as possible, as quickly as possible, to illustrate how absurd and ridiculous the very premise of it is.

Force them to put on skis and jump the shark.

Internet trolls: this is your moment.

I see you know the origins of "jump the shark". I saw an interview with Winkler where he was laughing about his Jewish mom who had made him take water-skiing lessons. He was doing a telephone interview with the makers of Happy Days I believe and she was in the background saying, "did you tell them you water ski?" Pretty funny how he tells it.

I've loved CFA since I was a little kid (way before I knew about anything political) and over the last few years I feel like many of the times I go and I'll get a really small piece of chicken on my sandwich. I used to get tenders a lot but the last two times I got them they were tiny, like not even big enough portions for a child.

Don't know what happened.

The wife and I were getting dinner for the family last night. There's a Bojangles and a cuck-fil-et across the street from each other. The cuck-fil-et are all masked up and somewhat fascistic in their demeanor and line rules, demanding you pull up or stay there, kind of rude and off putting. After I showed my wife the CEO video of him shining some dudes sneakers we decided to hit Bojangles instead. Everyone was happy, smiling, only one employee had a mask on. It was normal, and we appreciated that, and the food was great.

what is it with Christians and feet?

15

The woman that washed Jesus’ feet

11
ProdigalPlaneswalker 11 points ago +15 / -4

Mary Magdalene. She was going to be stoned for adultery but Jesus white knighted her with the "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" speech.

She washed his feet with her hair.

She was the first to visit his tomb and told the apostles that it was empty.

She eventually was declared a saint.

2000 years later we now have socialist media thots.

10
Moebius 10 points ago +10 / -0

He told her to 'go and Sin no more'...and she did as He commanded.

1
Liam_Clancy 1 point ago +3 / -2

Wasn't she also rumoured to be Jesus' lover according to the Dead Sea Scrolls or something?

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0
3
ProdigalPlaneswalker 3 points ago +3 / -0

As the poor terrified woman accused of adultery cowered before the angry mob, Jesus finished his speech. "Stone her if you must. But let only one who is without sin cast the first stone!"

As Jesus began to walk away, the crowd muttered among themselves in confusion.

Suddenly, an old woman stepped forward. She hefted a large rock overhead and hurled it down upon the adulteress, crushing her in one blow.

Jesus turned in exasperation. "Mom!?!"

“Jesus white knighted her”

Dude

Wtf

Are you saying that she deserved to be stoned or something? “White knighting” kind of has a negative connotation, like saying that someone stepped in and interfered with a woman getting what they deserved. So are you actually being a blasphemous asshole here or am I misinterpreting what you are saying?

2
ProdigalPlaneswalker 2 points ago +2 / -0

So are you actually being a blasphemous asshole here or am I misinterpreting what you are saying?

Bringing out the B word. Interesting portrayal of Caiaphas you got going there.

1
Mac3 1 point ago +1 / -0

Dude, I’m an atheist, it just seems strange to me that someone who apparently is pretty into the Bible and knows so much about Mary Magdalene would call Jesus a white knight. Like, are you saying that Jesus is a pussy or something? Is Jesus a bad guy on TD? That’s what I’m trying to figure out.

I don’t know if Jesus even existed, but I’d say that he seems like a pretty decent character. It’s a new take for me to hear someone criticize him over the throw the first stone thing.

Is it not blasphemous to say something like your comment? I have no clue who caiphas is - is it worth my googling to learn a lesson or are you just demonstrating that you have a deep knowledge of the Bible?

Christ washed his apostles feet before The Last Supper

It was an act of humility performed by Him.

It didn't come from him feeling some self guilt about being the Son of God.

Priests in various ancient churches would do the same by imitating Christ, choosing 12 men to represent the Apostles from the deacons or the congregation.

The current cuck of a Pope goes to the overt extreme of kissing the feet, something Christ absolutely did not and would not have done.

Worse, this cuck then changed the rules in the Catholic Church in 2016, allowing for women to have their feet washed too.

Previously only men were allowed.

And Jesus washing the disciples' feet.

1
jgardner 1 point ago +1 / -0

Christ washed his disciple's feet, which is a task that only the lowliest servant would perform.

Peter, being Peter, objected and said he should wash Jesus' feet, but Jesus said if he had to do it to be saved. So Peter, being Peter, said that Jesus should wash his whole body.

Peter was the Chad disciple.

Don't worry, in a couple years, they'll be back to calling the removal of these corporate mascots racist. That's how the game works: when you have a black character in media, it's racist because it's tokenism or cultural appropriation... when you don't have a black character, it's racist due to lack of representation. Do you get it? Everything is always racist, no matter what you do.

Never heard of it until Trump moved his rally. Been in the south about 30 years.

15
incogneato 15 points ago +15 / -0

It was mostly a Texas thing. I went to school in Texas and defintely remember hearing about it in textbooks and in a couple of novels. It marks the date (June 19th) when official word of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached Texas.

It's real. It's just been low-key outside of Texas, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to have it celebrated in a positive way - a reminder that in the USA, everyone is free and if you still walk around insisting you are a slave, maybe you should go home and rethink your life.

6
AlphaNathan 6 points ago +6 / -0

I don't doubt its legitimacy. I do wonder why I (and everyone I know) have never heard of it until now.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Because blacks were in large part oblivious to it so we didn't see marches every year. That's how little it actually means to them at this point.

2
incogneato 2 points ago +2 / -0

Because it's largely a Texas thing, my fren. Someone who grew up and went to school in central/east Texas has probably heard of it or participated, but not so much elsewhere. Until now.

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's because liberation from slavery is meaningless to the black community or you would have heard of it and seen marches every year. Thing is most of them probably had no idea it was a thing either. They claim to have horrible schools and are left behind but yet every black person can go on TV and speak for the entire race concerning their culture and history as if they are well educated in it. Fact, is they are ignorant of their own history and only repeat the things they are told. They can't even seem to get straight what MLK told us about the color of someone's skin.

7
bubadmt 7 points ago +7 / -0

Never heard of it, period. Come on man. Give me a break.

4

What happened?

22
DarkMemeDuck 22 points ago +22 / -0

First they caved to the LGBTQ and stopped funding the "controversial" charities they were funding. Then the CEO wrote some article on LinkedIn about how capitalism is systemically racist. Then he did a video shining Lecray's shoes and talking about how all white people need to feel more white guilt because they are all born racist.

Dan Cathy has been guzzling hard from the Marxist ideology pipe lately.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

5
mango20 5 points ago +5 / -0

I find the CEO’s words insulting and annoying, but I just can’t bring myself to boycott them (for now). They haven’t put out statements as a company saying this, afaik... it’s more like this is the guy’s personal philosophy. I disagree with it completely, but I’ll agree to disagree. I haven’t gotten a notification from the app or a black and white somber email or anything like that from CFA directly, which is where I’d be much more likely to boycott. My local CFA treats me very well and they never push agendas or narratives at me.

7
MightyEighth 7 points ago +7 / -0

I disagree, why are workers fired or written up for doing or saying inappropriate things? Because they represent the company when they wear the uniform and are at work.

Shouldn’t we hold the CEO to the same standard? He’s the Chief Executive Officer, what he says and does is representative of the company he runs. No more money for Cuck Fil A from me.

2
mango20 2 points ago +2 / -0

I definitely understand that point of view. When you’re on the job your actions absolutely represent your company, for instance a Coca-Cola employee can’t be seen in uniform drinking Pepsi. If someone sees that I gotta imagine they would attribute the action to the company rather than that particular employee. In this case it is the CEO and I do get what you’re saying. The article where I saw this mentions CFA by name. What he’s saying isn’t mild either; it’s pretty inflammatory.

I honestly don’t know; like, on one hand I feel like if I were to boycott them over this it’d be no better than when the liberals boycotted them over the COO’s stance on marriage being between a man and a woman. I see a lot of companies being much more aggressive (one told me in an email to get my humanity checked if I disagreed with them) so while this guy’s stance may well be infecting their corporate culture, so far their public image (official communications) is apolitical.

If I do change my mind mind it will be difficult due to my long-standing bias towards CFA; they’ve always treated me well and seem to run a cleaner, faster and more professional restaurant than others I go to. I’ve wanted to believe for a long time that they were a stand-out “good” restaurant when all the others caved to the left, but I see it isn’t the case. It’s incongruent with what I wanted to be true and I’m struggling with that. My personal feelings have absolutely nothing to do with the facts of course, but it’s something need to I deal with in this situation. In that regard I may well be no better than the left is, but I do try to make myself aware of my own biases and to point them out / not use them as arguing points.

But yeah, your point of view definitely makes sense to me and I hadn’t considered it like that before. He isn’t just some cashier or cook; he runs the whole thing and therefore whether it’s on or off the job, the argument could be made that his beliefs are the company’s.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

If the head of your company makes this statement and buys shoe brushes for the employees and the board do not denounce it then the company is cool with it.

4
incogneato 4 points ago +4 / -0

We have to remember that under slavery, black people were not allowed to legally marry. They would have their own ceremonies, of course - that's where "jumping the broom" comes from - but nothing legal.

Therefore, no black woman under slavery was ever called Mrs. Lastname. She was always called by her first name, like Hattie or Jemima or Prissy. If she was well liked by the family, she might get to be known as "Aunt Hattie" or "Aunt Jemima."

Black men under slavery, of course, were never addressed as "Mister" whether married or not. Again, it was first names only, like Tom or Ben or Remus. If he was well liked by the family, he might get to be known as "Uncle Tom" or "Uncle Ben."

So, it's understandable that seeing black people being addressed only as Aunt or Uncle is not exactly a positive thing.

I'm not sure if Mrs. Butterworth, of syrup fame, was meant to be a black woman or not; but if she is not cancelled, it's probably because she was called "Mrs." and not "Aunt Sally."

No not the Popeye's lady too. She is one of the nicest most wholesome spokes persons on TV. Pretty soon all black people are going to be banned from advertising and it's just going to be just whites again. Maybe that's what the Democrats real end goals are.

I think they mean homely

home·ly | ˈhōmlē | adjective (homelier, homeliest) 1 North American (of a person) unattractive in appearance. 2 British (of a place or surroundings) simple but cozy and comfortable, as in one's own home: a modern hotel with a homely atmosphere. • unsophisticated and unpretentious: homely pleasures.

3
Light_HIV_Effect 3 points ago +3 / -0

She's not really homely though.

1
Randomite 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, I don't get that part.

5
de9ebkmd7 5 points ago +5 / -0

Can I tell racist joke here? It goes like this:

Question: Why do black people like fried chicken? Punchline: Because fried chicken is delicious.

See, it's a racist joke that isn't actually a racist joke. Black people like fried chicken because everybody likes fried chicken. Kind of like how black lives matter because all lives matter.

Liberals can easily ruin breakfast.

So who the fuck invited them?

5
Ebbie8708 5 points ago +5 / -0

Black people were shooting each over Popeye’s chicken last year. They should’ve cancelled it then.

I live in a part of the country that a chain called Bojangle's is extremely popular. Don't think for one moment they aren't going to be targeted for their name. I mean it's named after a black gentleman that liked to dance. And we all know black people hate dancing.

1
Teapot_Gravy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Church's Chicken too!

1
Randomite 1 point ago +2 / -1

Oh damn, I didn't connect that. They were a good chain. Is it appropriate to speak of them in the past tense? I liked their food.

1
1776ThereIsaidIt 1 point ago +1 / -0

No way they survive this recent wave.

2
slrpnls 2 points ago +2 / -0

Damn. I loved them the times I visited the South.

4

If we disappear all images of blacks from all media surely that will solve racism forever.

I would pray with that woman. I bet she believes in Jesus.

I'm so sick of wholesome things being ruined.

3
Mad_Hattie 3 points ago +3 / -0

Liberals don't think Black people belong in the food industry?

3
South_Florida_Guy 3 points ago +3 / -0

They should remove ALL blacks from ALL advertising just in case the portrayal of same is any way offensive to any one person anywhere.

3
webthing 3 points ago +3 / -0

She has to go. BLM has spoken.

slaphappy2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hollywood already did an update on Aunt Jemima called "The Help".

The white employer lady was a bitch - therefore the black lady who worked in the kitchen was justified in taking a shit, and baking it into the cake.

I hope the Mexican "help" for all the Hollywood executives does similar stuff for their employers.

I simply don't want fried chicken if it isn't cooked by a friendly black person. If it isn't they can throw that shit right in the trash because it won't be that good.

2
GodsHonestTruth 2 points ago +2 / -0

We should start forcing companies to go woke by posing as liberals that are offended. Let the weak companies who take the bait fail while we redpill the masses.

2

2

First thing I thought of with the Jemima ban.

2
grenades_and_ham 2 points ago +2 / -0

Popeyes spokeswoman was chosen “to represent Louisiana culture.” I guess that’s why they chose Deidrie Henry. She’s from Barbados, moved to Atlanta when she was 10, lives in LA and is a pilot with a degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Can’t get more Louisiana than that.

1
misterLahey 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's awesome. But I'll be damned if seeing her on TV makes me want to eat fried chicken (and crawdads, in season).

2
ignorant_slob 2 points ago +2 / -0

This purge of racism won’t be complete until every black brand is destroyed.

2
Daveyboy58 2 points ago +2 / -0

Soooo, is this fine black woman about to be unemployed because of BLM?

2
LibertyOverSecurity 2 points ago +2 / -0

If it was a white woman, the advertisement would mean the chicken is for white people only. Any other race is a stereotype. End advertising! 😆

2
JVLibtard 2 points ago +2 / -0
