As the title says, I've just noticed that there's a new Doodle out.

Now, does anyone else find it strange that they would do one for the 155th anniversary, but I can't find ANYTHING for the 150th? Is 155 a significant number for Juneteenth? After all, it was during Obama's last term!

I could hardly believe that it's something to do with corporate pandering... yet when I go back, there's a literal gap on the Google Doodles archive page. It jumps straight from June 18th being Denmark Elections 2015 to June 20th being Dragon Boat Festival 2015. Why did Google not care about the freeing of slaves in 2015?

I'm confused, pedes...

Because juneteenth was a pretty niche holiday before it got all of its recent attention...

Mostly a Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia thing
