Where is the connection between Parscale and the name "Project Odin" coming from? It's not in the linked video of Parscale speaking. I have a lot of trouble believing that Parscale or anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign is using that name. The name doesn't bother me, but as the name of a Norse god, it has long been associated with white-specific culture, and sometimes used by groups that can properly be termed "white supremacist".

Edit: Apparently downvote brigaders aren't fond of facts. Look at the main page of the Twitter account that the linked tweet is from. The reference to "Project Odin" is from a different tweet -- completely unrelated to Parscale or the Trump campaign -- that's just above the tweet containing the video clip of Parscale.

Is this what is called concern trolling?

"white supremacists" are about as mythical today as Odin.

There are white supremacists, but not very many, and the left pretends not to be able to tell the difference between white supremacists and anybody who doesn't hate Trump.

I'm only "concerned" to the extent that I wonder if this an attempt by the left to plant fake information that can be used to fuel more riots.

Brad looks like a Viking and because of his size, they call him Odin. Has nothing to do with white supremacy or the stupid symbolism we see with the left.

I don't think that's where the reference came from. Look at the main page of the Twitter account (GitmoChannel) that the thread title links to a tweet from. The previous tweet from that account is a retweet from Ron/@CodeMonkeyZ about a totally different technology he has developed and called "Project Odin" (an "anti-deplatforming tool"). https://twitter.com/GitmoChannel There is no indication of any connection between Parscale or the Trump campaign to anything called "Project Odin".

Edit: it's actually the tweet above the one with Parscale, so the next tweet, not the previous one.

Odin is Germanic-Scandinavian specific, not racial. Other 'white' peoples had different mythologies and deities: the Celts, Slavs, Greeks, Romans, etc.

Just like the Chinese have Taoism, Japanese have Shinto, my ancestors (Turks) had Tengerism.

If Brad Parscale is Germanic/Nordic, he should be proud of his past.

I know that, but "Odinist" religion has been used in the past (and maybe present) by some white supremacist groups, and it's indisputable that mythology about Odin is specific to a white ethnic-geographic group.

What I was trying to point out in my first comment is that I can't find any evidence that Parscale or anyone else in the Trump campaign has ever used the term "Project Odin", so I don't understand why it's being used on the title of this this thread. The link for the thread title leads to a tweet from an account called "GitmoChannel", showing a video clip of Parscale talking about this new technology, but nothing in the tweet or in Parscale's clip mentions "Odin" or "Project Odin".

I think this is an erroneous attribution by OP or somebody OP got this from, because if you go to the main Twitter page of GitmoChannel, the tweet prior to the one with Parscale talking, is a retweet of something from Ron/@CodeMonkeyZ, with no indication of any connection to Trump, about a different technology project (an "anti-deplatforming tool") developed by Ron/@CodeMonkeyZ.

My point is that we don't want to be spreading false information suggesting that the Trump campaign is using the term "Project Odin", when in fact there's no indication of that being true.

Civilized people don't, but Antifa and their hordes of useful idiots would be happy to use false information about Trump promoting "Odin" to fuel more riots.
