Anyone here knowledgeable about the law on this? Apparently this guy was a court appointed replacement/interim U.S. Attorney and blue-checks in leftie-twitter is saying this therefore muddles the issue about who has power to remove him - that he can only be removed once a permanent replacement has been confirmed by the Senate.
Hopefully this isn't the case and this guy is just looking for some overtime on the 15-minutes of fame and adulation he garnered from liberals when persecuting anyone in Trump's orbit during the Mueller Coup attempt and he'll end up going the way of that chick who refused to leave the CFPB way back when. She eventuelly threw in the axe before the court process played itself out. Maybe this is a similar type of PR stunt.
Great! Another executive decision headed to the SCOTUS. Where Reeesist Roberts will declare that he definitely thinks the POTUS has no standing here, and the whiney scumbag will be given his job back with backpay and a raise. And a Swedish secretary and a new Audi.
