From this CTH piece, and President Trump stating that he is leaving the firing up to AG Barr (delegating his power to the AG's office), it appears Berman is now working for free.

Bush's AG, A. Gonzalez, fired New Mexico USA David Ignatius back in 2006(?), which was perfectly fine to everyone...other than the left claiming the President had no right to fire U.S. attorneys all at once.

I find it odd that there are no set in stone rules concerning the hiring and firing of either Senate confirmed, or interim/court appointed (as is Berman's case) U.S. attorneys.
