Sorry for the rambling, but hopefully this resonates. I'm sure someone has already come to this conclusion, but I feel it's worthy to re-emphasize:
Why does left insist on saying Black Lives Matter? Why do they react negatively to someone saying all lives matter, blue lives matter, etc?
The answer is for a couple of reasons:
(1) The need for moral relativism to drive division. The BLM term is more about driving an emotional response by asleep blacks that prevents reasoned discussion on proposing fixes or compromises. It also discourages meaningful communication by whites (both asleep and wake) on the issue due to frustration or fear of being "racist" If we don't talk about it, the division is insurmountable.
(2) Allowing the use of "All Lives Matter" forces a reframe of the entire issue, one that utterly destroys their narrative and provides significant opportunities for common ground. It makes it a discussion of morality. Anything that allows those asleep to renew their surface-level thoughts and notions to an immutable sense of right and wrong threatens all the enemy has done to make us rudderless ships they can push around. Is every life important? If we agree that it is, how might that allow us to bridge the ideological gap?
If it is successfully framed as a moral issue, it renders the whole of liberal orthodoxy completely untenable. The video of a Black conservative highlighting the left's silence on black vs black crime and the killing black babies in abortions is a perfect example.
So how do conservatives and conservative politicians counter this? By doing exactly what Trump, Sen. Paul, and others have done: boldly proposing legislation like the First Step act, the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, etc. It shows those asleep conservatives care And are attempting real changes instead of fruitless expressions of emotion.
How does the average one of us help to counter the division? By showing grace and love. Darkness to light.
Moral Relativism, exactly!! It's really hard to locate an actual racist so they have to keep coming up with new things that MEAN you are a racist. If we all agreed to their term, they'd just make a new one. And a then newer one, and a newer newer one. This is why sometimes they end up going back around in a circle and suddenly are saying something that two steps back was the opposite.
For instance, saying "Colored" is wrong but now all of a sudden "People of Color" is the right way. Homeless just switched to people experiencing homelessness. I bet it gets changed again with the excuse, "there's nothing different about them except that they are homeless only!"
I love that you know the pattern first hand.
You turn out to be none of the things they called you and then actually know your stuff. So they just revert back to "You are bad because!"
I have noticed that sense of entitlement (privilege) is very strong with them. As if they know something or understand something that you don't. And it is true, they understand all the new made up words better than anyone else at least until they change again in a month.
lot of rambling in your post. black lives matter doesn't mean all lives don't matter. the people using this term already see it as meaning all lives matter, but recent police actions show that black lives specifically do not matter. so if someone says black lives matter and then someone else says all lives matter back to them thats why the lefties using this term look at you like you're retarded, and assume your either racist or dumb. it was just a catchy phrase to point out what they believe to be blatant disregard for black lives by the police. so if you want to argue the point you need to argue that your wrong, police protect all lives, or your wrong police don't respect the lives of anyone. saying all live matters just makes no sense in the context.
Of course there's no conflict between the two terms on an intellectual level, but there is certainly a difference in how they evoke feelings. Why else would Rep Swalwell keep using it as a straw man with Rep Gaetz? To admit that all lives matter would render them powerless. They are completely reliant on the bullshit intersectionality victim olympics.
your missing the point. black lives matter means all lives matter, but the police aren't following through on this. its a slogan. when people say all lives matter it shows that you either don't understand the argument or you believe that there isn't an issue with police treating black people different. its fine if thats your opinion but i don't think the people using all lives matter believe this. they just don't under stand the slogan. with that said, the BLM organization is a marxist, racist, org.
There’s absolutely no evidence that blacks are treated differently by police. Fewer blacks die at the hands of police than any other race. Inversely, more police are killed by blacks than other races. The narrative only exists because of the media highlighting specific cases while not even mentioning others.
When they spout “black lives matter,” what they’re saying is we believe a false narrative that blacks are systemically abused by police because we don’t know how to look up statistics and see that it’s a fucking lie. It also suggests there is an inherent racism within white people. They have been brainwashed by media sensationalism of any white on black police action resulting in death. Fact is, there are more whites who perish at the hands of police and many of those deaths are caused by black policemen.
There nothing to successfully rebut when your slogan forces an all or nothing response. If you’re tough and have integrity, the only answer is, “of course black lives matter,,,,,but only to white people.”
