If they go big on fraud and win, they'll have control of the DoJ. They'll fire every state AG and slow walk any investigation into that fraud -- they'll throw minor pawns under the bus as necessary, but they'll be the ones controlling the prosecutions. Total control and a Win.
If they go big on fraud and lose, well they're already fucked so they can't really be more fucked. This works out to be a plus because the investigations tie up DoJ resources and slow down and/or prevent the prosecution of their crimes during Obama's admin. By playing their cards right, they're able to string it all out for another four years and try again in 2024. Win.
