I think republican leadership has been intentionally asleep at the wheel. The battle in this country is not left vs right, it's the elite ruling class vs the common man. The elites supposedly "on our side" are limp dicks because they want the same things as the dems: A dumb & malleable American public.
Mainstream Republicans today are basically what the democrats were in the 1990s. Democrats are going to keep dragging the Overton window farther towards socialism and soon basic constitutionalism will be considered "radical far right"! The GOP won't disappear but it will become DNC Lite
Yep. The rise of China was the collective effort of the Bushes and the Clintons, Obama and Biden, Pelosi, all of them. All of them agree that Trump pissed off China, and he's got to go. And then Hollywood suddenly agrees with the FBI and CIA, that Trump has got to go. And the Marxists in the universities agree with with the corporate capitalists of Nike and Apple and Sony and Comcast that Trump has got to go. Entities that always staged such elaborate displays of disagreeing with each other throughout all the decades of the so-called racist structure they all quietly worked to maintain, now suddenly they all agree, from Harvard to Nike, from Cheney to Obama, from Hollywood to Foggy Bottom, that the real enemy is the beat cops who work for $43K a year and a man who has only held office for 3 years.
Anyone with a BRAIN should be looking at that and thinking, "How do all the Marxists suddenly agree with the multinational corporations? How does Hollywood suddenly love the intelligence community? How do all the Democrats and half the Republicans suddenly join hands? How does Silicon Valley suddenly agree that systemic racism is a problem for Black Americans when they themselves import Indians so they won't have to hire and train Black Americans? How does Lebron James make millions on Nike shoes made by slave labor and then lecture us on the impact of slavery 150 years ago? And how does anyone who disagrees with this whole massive network of power and influence suddenly lose their job?"
That's a Marxist perspective, pede. You have plenty of based members of the elite (patriotic magnates and entrepreneurs) and subversive common men (your average suburban antifa member). It's about nationalism versus globalism.
No it is not. The Marxist perspective is the proprietors vs. the working man. I am talking about the POLITICAL elite, not the factory owners.
Edit: just to add examples, people like Pelosi, Schiff, Mitch McConnell, Lindsay graham, and even Cuomo and De Blasio are who I am talking about. These are people who have gained their wealth through political maneuvering, not producing value.
Part of the miscalculation was in thinking that conservative positions are common sense, as are things like the value of the free market, and a few leftist professors can’t overcome that.
People can be brainwashed through many years of indoctrination to irrationally reject common sense. When for decades, all external information coming in through academia and (later in life) the media is propaganda.
Every time a conservative thinks “surely they won’t cross THIS line,” the left is already stepping across it. For example - our own children getting systematically raped and trapped into sexual slavery by grooming gangs. Surely the left wouldn’t cross THAT line! - crossed.
Impossible when our children are being raised to believe in these things by our far left public schools

I think it's so funny how BLM & Antifa believe they are "the resistance" with the entire corporate and political mainstream backing them...
Conservatism is the new counter-culture! Being a rebel now means having a beautiful and loving family unit! Hahaha what a world
