That's a Marxist perspective, pede. You have plenty of based members of the elite (patriotic magnates and entrepreneurs) and subversive common men (your average suburban antifa member). It's about nationalism versus globalism.

No it is not. The Marxist perspective is the proprietors vs. the working man. I am talking about the POLITICAL elite, not the factory owners.

Edit: just to add examples, people like Pelosi, Schiff, Mitch McConnell, Lindsay graham, and even Cuomo and De Blasio are who I am talking about. These are people who have gained their wealth through political maneuvering, not producing value.

My bad, point well taken.

I'd still urge you to rethink the "common man" bit, as there are plenty of those ready and willing to contribute in the selling out of their country at the "elites'" behest. Never forget that it's not the elites' vote that counts, which is why the nationalism vs globalism duality illustrates the matter more accurately.
