‘Pedes, I’ve been mulling over how to write this post for a long time. I’ll never get it perfect, so better just to take a stab instead of procrastinating further. We don’t really have subfora here so I can’t pop it in the advice section, but I can’t think of a better site to ask.

I’m in my 40s and have lived in Asia for the past several years. Part of my reason to expatriate was because of that Manchurian fraud mom jeans wearing America-hating communist, the big “0”.

Along the way, I’ve picked up a wife & kids. The time might not be right to head back just yet, but my potential as a breadwinner is much higher in the U.S. than out here. I’m a fmr mil with M.A., management experience and yadda yadda credentials in IT (although I’m sick of it).

All I know is that the top urban centers in the US with Democrat leadership are awful, and breeding grounds for degenerate leftist zombies. Very troubled to my core about this, because I used to think the PAC NW would be so pretty. I also don’t want to live anywhere that illegals are in plain sight, flaunting their untouchability with reckless abandon. Economic demographics and certain factors that contribute to crime have made my hometown in the Midwest into a totally different place than the glory days of the Reagan years. Schools are rotten and more concerned with celebrating their diversity than any kind of unity, or... grades. So this compounds my sorrow and uncertainty. Where can my kids even grow up semi-safely without hood rat glorification and pantifa influences being front and center. We’ve permabanned- tossed God out of public life completely, which gave us our moral center and used to set the conditions for our prosperity.

So I’m more looking by state than city, maybe. Where would be a good middle class place to land? Climate doesn’t matter. Thank you for your consideration.

I would consider Couer d'Alene, Idaho. Based and beautiful.

We fled socialist Canada 3 years ago for East Tennessee. Never safer, more prosperous or happier.

New Hampshire. I live there and it's peaceful and quaint. Nature is beautiful with lots of lakes and ponds, forests and green pastures and lots of space for your kids to play outside etc. The state isn't really liberal and has been trending increasingly red. Trump only lost by a couple of thousand votes, probably due to MA residents coming here to vote illegally. We don't like them. Never heard of any antifa or BLM protests/riots up here in NH. State is mostly white which I like as it improves social cohesion. We also have liberal gun laws. There's also no sales tax and living is affordable.

PS: the FL pan handle and the FL west coast are nice too and deep red.

Thanks a lot. I may have heard it was attractive for retirees due to what you mentioned about the sales tax. How is the winter? Actually, long winters may form a natural barrier to the propagation of thug life.

Winters aren't too bad and not too cold. We maybe get a blizzard or two, but that's it. There used to be more snow in the past. We don't have many thugs up here. The most frequent 'bad' crime you hear of is people selling and taking drugs. No MS13 either as far as I know.

Greenville, SC maybe. Low cost of living, beautiful downtown area, spitting distance from mountains/beaches/Charleston, don’t know about the schools, that might be a problem but I’m not sure. I’m from Texas but I’ve been to Greenville several times.

I rather enjoyed living in the outskirts of Austin. Even though it's a bit lefty, it's Texas lefty. Mind you, that was 20 years ago, who knows what it's like now. Musk has just started to move Tesla there, so they'll be plenty of economic activity.

Pacific nw is beautiful. It's green all summer. But if inslee wins again I'm out. Born and raised here, but can't take it anymore. If these idiots elect him again it's over. We will be california 3.0.

When are they going to roll the tanks in CHAZ and Portland?

I visited Seattle in the twilight of grunge, it was cool back then... I like the weather too.

They won't. It's a mixed bad. It's really making the governor, mayor's and city counsels look bad. So on the plus it's hurting democrats. I feel bad for the residents but they might just do some more research before they vote next time. Inslee is a boot licker, will never happen on his watch.
