‘Pedes, I’ve been mulling over how to write this post for a long time. I’ll never get it perfect, so better just to take a stab instead of procrastinating further. We don’t really have subfora here so I can’t pop it in the advice section, but I can’t think of a better site to ask.
I’m in my 40s and have lived in Asia for the past several years. Part of my reason to expatriate was because of that Manchurian fraud mom jeans wearing America-hating communist, the big “0”.
Along the way, I’ve picked up a wife & kids. The time might not be right to head back just yet, but my potential as a breadwinner is much higher in the U.S. than out here. I’m a fmr mil with M.A., management experience and yadda yadda credentials in IT (although I’m sick of it).
All I know is that the top urban centers in the US with Democrat leadership are awful, and breeding grounds for degenerate leftist zombies. Very troubled to my core about this, because I used to think the PAC NW would be so pretty. I also don’t want to live anywhere that illegals are in plain sight, flaunting their untouchability with reckless abandon. Economic demographics and certain factors that contribute to crime have made my hometown in the Midwest into a totally different place than the glory days of the Reagan years. Schools are rotten and more concerned with celebrating their diversity than any kind of unity, or... grades. So this compounds my sorrow and uncertainty. Where can my kids even grow up semi-safely without hood rat glorification and pantifa influences being front and center. We’ve permabanned- tossed God out of public life completely, which gave us our moral center and used to set the conditions for our prosperity.
So I’m more looking by state than city, maybe. Where would be a good middle class place to land? Climate doesn’t matter. Thank you for your consideration.
We fled socialist Canada 3 years ago for East Tennessee. Never safer, more prosperous or happier.
