Nah.... they were, in effect, lip synching. Studio track played from off camera, then studio track mixed in/over audio track from the video. So you are hearing mostly, if not all, studio audio.
This is pretty accurate. There is a boombox below the camera angle held up to the mic. They were actually singing out loud as well, but the reporter's mic was held lower to pick up the speaker. They also sound great irl, but with high/gusty winds and impromptu nature, the recording helped greatly with the overall presentation.
That's what I thought too, like phibetared. That's simply more than 2 voices. Mixed so well I can't pick out the individual parts, through my phone speaker
