You didn't specifically say, but might have something to do with race rather than the flag decal.

Off track question - how did your previous username suggest LE? Older ladypede, wanting to learn.

I think it's both race and the flag. But in my experience, in this city, black and white are generally civil to each other regardless of current events. I've never experienced that kind of behavior just b/c of my skin before. Now it's spreading here, too. So depressing.

Well, I could be way off, but I think police might rightly consider themselves sheepdogs in a world of sheep and wolves. Of course, there are other types of sheepdogs, too, but I just wanted to make sure nobody got the wrong idea. Probably TMI, but I was just explaining why I changed my username.

I'm a longtime member of TD.win--I just changed my username (formerly TxSheepdog) out of respect for LE. I sincerely apologize if I offended police or wongly gave anyone the impression that I was in LE by using that term.

I'm interested in what y'all think about my situation. I've been driving around with a 3×5 American flag sticker on the back of my car since before all this bullshit began. No problems until last night. Came out of Exxon w/a 6-pack and got in my car. A standard gangster mobile pulled in behind me and blocked me in. He sat there for about 20 sec, and I put my car in reverse. He waited another 10sec or so, and backed around and parked 1 space over on my driver's side and swung his door open. Dude in a do-rag giving me the "I kill you" stare. I slowly drove off, but now he has my plates.

Also, due to budget constraints, I'm about to switch from a private garage at work to using a remote, open air lot. My car is going to sit unattended for 9-10 hours a day. Regardless of last night, I think it's just be a matter of time before I arrive to find busted windows and slashed tires.

I am totally disgusted that I have to take the flag off my fucking car. This is America. But is discretion the better part of valor in this case? What would you do if you were me?

If you took that flag off, you're part of the problem. Don't submit to these terrorists. This just proves the importance of 2A. Get a gun, hold your ground, and don't ask for forgiveness when you've done nothing wrong. I'd rather fight for my freedom, than live in chains.

Just put a "security" sticker beside the flag. You know like OnStar, a gun, or ammo.
