they did not enforce any kind of a lockdown whatsoever in Japan...because it is illegal...there aren't as many people on the streets, but they are not having to comply to the same lockdown/social distancing that is being enforced in the US...feel free to look it up

This is because stay home means stay home, unless you do need to go out. Going to work? Fine. Going to Pachinko? Stay home please. You don't live in Tokyo? Please don't travel into Tokyo. Japanese respect those orders and comply.
In Japan, the disease is contained. People did not get infected. Almost no one has antibodies. There is not herd immunity. Japan beat the spread, but masks are only a small part of that.
