To the left, the ramp walk was the equivalent of Hillary getting thrown into the van was to us. Even though, the two were not even close to the same thing. I've worn those type of shoes (I am guessing not near as expensive as what he was wearing),. And yes, they can be quite slippery. A lot of people will take a metal type of brush to the bottoms of the souls in order to make them less slippery. I used to sell shoes and we sold small brushes just for that reason.

I've just about fell on level floors in leather bottomed shoes. Trying to decend a metal ramp in them must be hell.

Yeah I've owned $400 Allen Edmonds. They are a beautiful American made shoe, but very slippery, even on concrete. I ended up selling them on OfferUp because they were too nice to use for my personal taste, and too slippery when I went out.
