I had to make an account here tonight. I lurkered on Reddit from almost the beginning. I lurked here at .win after they forced us out. I'm not the only one; there are thousands of us. We have to be careful about social media. We have to be careful about what we say in social settings. We have to be careful about what we say at work. But we're out here, biting our tongue everyday.
You pedes that do the leg work are the tip of the spear. You're the voice that we can't have. I've lurked for a few months now, was introduced to you guys by my dad. Never made an account until now to avoid conflict with others. It's much easier to not get angry at someone and post something you might regret if you don't have an account. But I love the community too much to not make one!
It's rare that you'll butt heads with another pede here, most people, even from very different walks, are respectful of you at best, and tolerate you at worst.
The shills on the other hand will fight you under the guise of being a fellow pede, and make you second guess yourself.

I got into it for a few posts with a fellow pede earlier tonight. Turned out I made some assumptions that were way wrong, I apologized, he forgave me and we both went over to the rally thread.

This is one of the best online communities I've found period. Almost everyone is very reasonable and to the point. There are exceptions, like anywhere, but compare the quality of conversation here to most forums and the difference is pretty clear.
I'm only 21 and I've been through all kinds of communities especially on reddit. I've been an active member of almost every single political subreddit there is and nothin even comes close to the love and family you will find on thedonald.
The difference about td is that they are willing to tell you what you have to hear even if its not what you want to hear. That's true love if I've ever seen it. They're not trying to get in your wallet or get in your pants or manipulate you for votes. To td pedes, love is love. These people get it ❤ they also got me reading my bible. I'll leave my thoughts on the existence of God out of this comment but man if that book isnt the best writing I've ever read then idk what good writing even is. I never was a big book reader and I was always a life long agnostic/athiest and many here on td are agnostics and atheists. I never opened a bible in the 20 years I was on this earth before I opened and read one and I was glad that a sub like this was able to get me into the mental space to actually read the bible for exactly what it is.
Love these people. Even if one day for some weird reason this place goes to shit it's still good to know theres actual genuine people out there just like me.

Yeah, main reason I never mad an account is that I'm a bit quick to anger when some one insults or belittles something I love, Trump being one of those, and countless times I was only stopped from seeming like an uncontrolled child because I didn't have an account. I got banned from r/the_donald for going bonkers a few times but once you learn, you learn. They really try to demoralize us here just because we're too damn good at what we do. Many dont even realise exactly what we're up to until theyve been here for months. Theyll learn like I did. Anyone who's here is in the right place. Its better than being on r/politics and I was a fanboy of that sub for way longer than I'd like to admit if I didnt have too 😂

I think a big problem, although a welcome one, is that we have a LOT of former leftists on here. They haven't quite broken all their conditioning. I've seen them crying about systemic racism on TDW.
We have resident shitheads. When you run into them, just make a mental note of their username and avoid them like the plague from then on. If you can't stop running into a particular shithead you can't stand, you can always block.
I always told myself i'd never block, but I currently have 3 blocked because they just pester pester pester and shit up threads and I'm done.
If you get one of these, fight if you know you can win easily, or else just move on and let us do the work by up/downvoting the conversation. Shitheads do not go unnoticed for long.

Don't post anything personally identifying, and occasionally throw in fake information about your job/hobbies/other things the stalkers use to find people.
