So I received my first poll call today. First thing they asked was your party affiliation. I selected independent as my father had as well(ill explain in a second) and was promptly disconnected. Now the only reason I selected independent was that my father received a poll call earlier in the day and he selected independent and was hung up on. I just wanted to validate it wasnt a fluke. And some people wonder why the polls are the way they are...

Years ago my wife used to work at a survey company. Their primary function was gathering data from farmers about how various pesticides and insecticides affected yield, and it was completely legit.

However, every four years they would decide to make some extra cash picking up political "surveys", and she hated it. Every single one of them was a BS push poll campaign ad masquerading as a survey. The questions are carefully worded to ensure any answer can be made to say what the candidate wants, and they all had tons of "eligibility" criteria to terminate the survey if the caller gave any indication that they might interfere with the narrative.

Precisely. I've had to do projects for school where we collected data and then had to analyze the trends to see if it was normally distributed and it wasn't hard to erase outliers from the data by getting rid of variables. Essentially forcing the data to conform to your hypothesis/trend. Its why I've never trusted a political poll in my life

The Dims are trying to flip TX. Might be why they are interested only in Dim voters.

Oh i believe it. I never trust the polls, but i know there are pedes out there wondering why the polls are so biased and this is one possible reason why.

But who would ever do a thing like that? Probably some low-energy losers I bet...

Must be nice. The only calls I get are notifying me that my car warranty is about to expire.
