A lot of people made a lot of stupid and deliberate decisions leading up to this, and at any point they could say, "yeah, this really isn't so great" but no, they double down larping as Bolsheviks and when they inevitably have medical issues, they act surprised when all of their most loathed institutions don't mire through their "aUtOnOmOuS zOnE" so they can risk their lives to help people that fantasize about killing them.
Why would ambulances rush into dangerous territory in a foreign country? Makes no sense to me. What's he crying about? Surely they have their own doctors in CHOP.
