I'm old. I know enough people with dementia to be convinced that Joe is in the early stages of it and it seems to be progressing quickly. I don't believe he can win, much less fulfill a 4 year term.
He is almost without a doubt in early stage right now. Leftists will vote for whoever their handlers tell them too though, and they'd ideally like for Biden to not be able to serve four years.
I have had relatives in end stage. It's unbelievably devastating. They can't articulate, can't feed themselves, don't even recognize family's faces. They still express emotion, mostly fear and anger. It's a horrifying way to end a life.
The centrist and near-left normies I know won't vote for him for exactly this reason. They know Joe is useless but every potential VP pick the media has hinted at is much worse. They might be foolish and entitled, but they are smart enough to figure it out.
Can you imagine if he picks Susan Rice or Kamala Harris, then wins, then after a year, resigns due to health reasons? We'd get our first female president, not by her merits and people voting for her, but based on the color of her skin and a candidate pandering to a protest movement. I don't even like Rice or Harris and would still feel pity for them. At least Obama won an election.
