Last night I was awoken by the sound of a loud crash. After sweeping my house, I come to discover that the sound came from outside where I saw 2 women who had crashed and lodged their car on top of a parked car across the street. When I went to go see of they needed assistance I could see one of the women was bloodied up. I told them I would call the police and they threatened me, said that they would just have a friend come and pull them off the other car, and that I should mind my own business and go back to bed. So I went home and called the police anyway since I could smell the booze on them and i didn't want anyone else to get hurt by them. In the next few minutes the town police show up and take control of the scene. I had made my way to my front room just to keep an eye out on everything (screw me for being nosey). It was then these two drunk black women lose their shit. A tirade of ebonics insults and threats were hurled by them left and right towards the officer on the scene; from declaring their innocence, to black lives matter, racism, and George Floyd. Despite the sheer level of disrespect spewing from their mouths calmly ignored them and continued his policing. Is it his job to handle these kind of situations? Yes, but it still amazes me how composed under stress he was. Given the sociopolitical climate we live in today it would not be surprising if police walked off the job. But I sure am glad this one didn't. Police are so underappreciated nowadays, so if you see a cop out there say a prayer and thank them for their work. I think even the tiniest compliment towards them nowadays would go far.

And btw the driver was arrested for all those wondering.
