Hey everyone! This is an amazing community and now that I'm actively posting I've been thinking of ways to give back and help other folks around here achieve good things for themselves. Which brings me to the subject of GPP...
For those who aren't familiar, GPP stands for general physical preparedness or general physical preparation. It's a form of exercise that trains you to be generally better at everyday life, as apposed to sport specific training where someone trains to improve aspects of their chosen sport. This kind if training is extremely beneficial and it can be started for little to no monetary investment. No expensive equipment or gym memberships, just a bit of time, effort, and determination.
Have a heavy rock somewhere in your yard? Pick that thing up and carry it. Load a wheelbarrow up with something heavy and push it around. Practice chin-ups and pull-ups. Sprint or drag a tire around. Press a heavy object over your head. Get a sledge hammer and beat the shit out of an old tire!
All of this is great exercise and damn fun too! You can get a full body workout without ever investing a dime!
So, my challenge to you is to do GPP work for a month. 3 days a week for 4 weeks is a good starting point. If you already exercise you can add some of these examples into your program.
Work hard, eat plenty of good food, and get some decent sleep and I promise you'll feel awesome after a month of this. Take that MAGA spirit and invest some of it into your body, you're awesome and you deserve it.
