What do you mean by significance? Are you are asking why do they fly it. Basically southern pride. Its almost a separate culture. They talk different, eat different, behave different. I encourage you if you ever get the opportunity, to visit. Not Little Rock or New Orleans, but a smaller southern town. That flag is nicknamed the rebel flag for a reason. They see themselves as rebels. I never see "come and take them" or punisher stickers here because its redundant. If you live here we all know the way you feel. Again I'm not speaking for city folk. Cities in the south have been carpetbagged just like every major city in the USA.

Thank you, yes, I was just curious as to the meaning people assign to the flag. I have been fortunate enough to see every state and the best food and hospitality I ever had was from a small "town" in Georgia with a 90 something grandma running a small kitchen. I had some very great experiences in the deep south and also some not so pleasant ones, lol. Some people were (perhaps rightfully) very cautious of me as a New Yorker.

Why are Pedes proud of flying a Democrat "F U Lincoln" flag?
