I've been hearing from friends from other parts of the country complain about this new increase too, so I tried to Google if there any news stories about this. It looks like very similar things are happening in multiple cities the last couple of weeks:

Not really sure what this means. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe people everywhere are just extra needing to blow off steam, maybe there is a surplus of fireworks being offloaded, or maybe it's a coordinated op. Nobody knows why it's happening, or how to stop it. But I don't think this is just a problem inherent to NYC like people seem to be implying if it's happening all over, even in quieter places.

Where like you said, technically not even legal to buy and pretty hard to come by without driving to Missouri.

This is to soften us up for when the shooting starts happening thinking no one will think anything of it.

This is disturbing. What day will the commies chi pose to try and really kick off this war? Independence day perhaps?

To psychologically agitate people and make them more volatile (make bad decisions). Watch the Netflix series on Waco. It’s a classic psyop.

Ditto. Basically rural, some subdivisions here.

Didn't connect it to NY until reading this.

I think it's a mix between what you're saying and the fireworks dealers selling off what they got since they're anticipating a lot of 4th of July shows getting cancelled because of the virus bullshit.

Maybe it's just because this is America, Karen. I'll light off fireworks and shoot and do wtf ever on my property.

I’ve driven around my neighborhood in a city in upstate New York. The people I’ve seen lighting fireworks are young kids and teenagers. I don’t know it’s a combination of lockdowns and nothing to do in summer. Constant complaints in my city and the police have had their hands full with rioters, but have increased their fireworks patrols in the past week

Happening in South Carolina sticks, too. Legal here. Started noticing on the second weekend of protesting. Been really steady since.

Its happening in KY but its not that unusal here for kids to buy craptons and shoot them off for a couple of weeks before and after July 4 here. Could just be the boredom and availability. In other places could be intentional sonic cover distractions for gunfire.

Ummm, I'm not sure, This always happens to the run up to the 4th. At least in my area, it has been like that my whole life. So, maybe the pshyop is over thinking it?
