would be setting off a lot of fireworks now. What's with the people who are coming up with this fever brained stuff about how "they're readying us for war" or "they're coming for you on the 4th of July." Please stop with all this fear bullshit. And has anyone thought, if you are seeing negative reports in the "news" about the fireworks being so bad, it MIGHT be because their bosses are on the side of wanting to quell our displays? Wanting to fill people with fear and worry?

  1. lots of fireworks shows are cancelled so fireworks are dirt cheap compared to usual.

  2. some people recently got a hunk of cash that they can blow on whatever they want.

  3. people have been cooped up for months because of coronavirus hysteria bullshit.

  4. people have been watching anarcho-communists attempting to take over their cities.

  5. the 4th of July is coming up soon.

  6. people want to blow off steam and simultaneously make a display of defiance to tyrants.

All sounds quite American to me, responses that are quite expected. As soon as I found out our burb cancelled 4th of July, like a MONTH ago, I contacted local fireworks store (my favorite) to find out when they open. (They opened this weekend.) People are pissed off about LOTS of things and setting off fireworks helps them feel better.... for a lot of reasons.

Imagine you have to get up around 6-7am every day for work and fireworks are going off at 3-4am every night all week. It goes on for 15 minutes to a half-hour, making it impossible to go back to sleep quickly. You go to work sleep deprived and feel like crap the whole day you're at work. A week of that will take it's toll on you. Who is it going to mostly affect? Probably anyone the BLM doesn't like.
