I was going to save up to buy a new iPhone Pro $1500 model but I diverted to another Android model so I can install an open source non-Google Android version on after seeing Apple censor the Apple Store version of Telegram. Going to DeepinOS (beautiful but developed by CY-NA) so I'll probably end up on Ubuntu DDE distro which includes the beautiful desktop experience but it's not Chinese developed. I won't be buying another Apple product because there is no way to side load the direct version of Telegram on iOS and you can only use the app store version which has certain Telegram channels blocked but if you get the Android or macOS version directly from the Telegram site it's all uncensored.
We need to migrate to Linux. I no longer trust Windows anymore either. The huge NSA data center and storage facility in Utah was built right about the same time as Windows 10 being launched.
Cloud file sync services are also out as they can scan and delete files they don't like, sliently. Get a Synology NAS that has its own file sync software and drop Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive.
Backup your mail with MailStore Home Free, it's the best mail archiving software available for free (it is really good) unfortunately it only runs on windows so either run it on an old PC or a virtual machine atop Linux or maybe with WINE.

Don't forget to delete all your data then burn down Chrome and use Brave for Linux or Firefox with Ublock Origin set on overkill.
Just live with open source software. I really think this is the year it's possible. You just have to wean yourself off what your used too. Don't recommend installing ANY Facebook app just use the web version if you need to check Facebook that badly.
I actually have a Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit (barely ever use that anymore and I sure as hell don't post anything helpful on there anymore) Jail plugins called Google Container, Facebook Container, and so on so they can't capture my external site traffic through Google Ads or Facebook pixel. Run a very through ad blocker to starve the media of ad revenue and only whitelist right-think sites.
Pirated all the media you can, throw your money elsewhere to alt tech like a Gab Pro subscription. Cancel your TV, newspaper, and magazine subscriptions. Maybe invest in a pirate Android TV box so you can get all the channels for reeeeeeeeee!
Buy things used off Craigslist or eBay before buying new to slow the money train to China.
That’s an idea but the majority of users are not going to do this. They will just buy a phone and not do work around. So the message will not widely get out. I do hope they institute legislation to keep big tech accountable. I just don’t see any other way for the message to reach the masses
I am in the middle of a move but when I get settled I am going to do a write up on how I transitioned away from big tech. Not everybody can but my experience will be out there for those who seek the knowledge.
Probably could go with a game streaming service like Shadow if you like games. I use GFN currently. Waiting for my account to activate on Shadow.
