I like to say that the Democrats are 75% Fascist, and 25% Communist, aligned by Authoritarianism. The party is controlled by the Fascist wing.
Fascism: When the government controls corporations and their leadership. This is mostly how the Democrat party operates.
Communism/Socialism: When the government kills the corporate leadership and installs their Communist friends to be in charge. This is what the 25% wants, though we're not there. Yet.
I am reading the excellent book Goliath by Matt Stoller and he says that where we are at today, corporations run the government, not the other way around.
The book is a history of monopoly/duopoly power of corporations and how that directly led to what we are seeing today, which is authoritariansm on the left and populism on the right.
I respect that opinion, but I disagree. The CIA runs the Democrats, and the power to threaten families and use blackmail is real power. Corporations simply know where next level power resides, and so they do a deal with the real power -- and then real power takes over.
Or it put it another way, how would Corporations have any power over government power? They don't, short of private armies and private intelligence, and that's not going to be more powerful than government power on that front.
We will not be united, and we will be picked off one by one.
This is my concern right now. We aren't "united." We are a bunch of individual patriots and a few scattered local militias. Unless we can unite as an organized Resistance, under some sort of central leadership, I don't see us posing much of a threat to the commies.
