“Most of us white people, we’re out-of-sight, out-of-mind oblivious to it,” Dan Cathy said.
Right. Because that's what it's like when you're not racist. Most of us were raised on equality and MLK's I Have A Dream speech and instinctively consider all so-called "races" within the human race to be equal.
Equality is valued and espoused today only by white people. Does that make us more virtuous?
On that point, hell yes. Is there any other way to see it?
You ever have car trouble as a white guy in a black neighborhood? Happened to my friend and I about 15 or 20 years ago when we got lost going to an out of the way Home Depot. Scariest situation I can remember being in. Luckily we finally got the car started as 10-15 people were descending on the car and pounding on the hood, and windows. Those are the types of stories that the media doesn’t tell. I will never forget that and how blown away I was by the fact that we were just average young people who were simply lost and in a crappy car.

Interestingly, he didn't address the far more prevalent black racism. When will all blacks start shining shoes?
