People don’t believe me when I tell them that being served at inner city fast food is a good way to learn about black bias to white people. Even before Obama “unified everyone” it was mild, now moderate to severe.
Totally agree. When restrictions were first lifted here in TX we went to a restaurant and the black manager looked like the happiest guy on earth serving actual in-person seated customers.
We went out to eat last night and same thing. Mostly minority staff, all happy and engaged despite lower capacity seating.
Customer service skills are highly valuable and need to be learned/honed somewhere. Food service is an excellent way to do that. I always look for food service and retail experience when hiring because people who have done that successfully are almost always excellent hires for my customer service positions.
Plus, CFA employees are usually pretty young. They will be moving up to other things as they get older.
I believe there is value in all jobs, even fast food.
Same. And like you say I hate to cut them off because of their awesome employees.

Yes, I'm sure it's mainly an entry job for most of them. It's not meant to be a living wage.
It’s mostly high school kids. The college kids become managers.
