Besides the fact that Chik-Fil-A's existence should make you question that comment (they're a great fast-food joint to work for), many many successful people started in fast food. Fast food jobs are the pinnacle of human endeavor—life-affirming opportunities for complete human fulfillment of financial, spiritual, physical, psychological, and interpersonal needs, on a level deeper than the soul. If only people would wake up and realize it.
Great progress. Now meet somewhere in the middle and realize external circumstances needn’t dictate your emotions and actions; you make the most of your circumstances, be it “soul crushing” or “life-affirming opportunities for complete human fulfillment” as you say.
