Because that’s “racist”, and I used to think this was extreme but as I’ve gotten older and I see how much the government steals from me (big difference between D and R, D sees it as the benevolent govt allowing you to keep your wages, and R’s see it as the govt stealing more and more of what should be your money, I’m sure you know that but that’s always one of the starkest divides I’ve found talking to plenty of Democrats).

Oh God, don’t get me started on that bullshit. I forgot how many I heard lived in that zone, I think it was around 10,000 people but I could be way off. Regardless, I cannot even imagine living there, or worse spending years upon years to build a business, then it gets economically destroyed and maybe looted and demolished, and you cannot even call the cops that your tax money supposedly pays for. Or, you defend it and you get charged for defending your life or property as has happened a few times across the country. One of the best analogies I think I’ve heard is Liberals think the economy is like a pie and the “rich” take the biggest slice whereas fiscal conservatives see it as an ever expanding pie that everyone can participate in if they work hard and find what they’re good at. We’re at a point now though where nearly half the country pays Zero Federal Income taxes, and many of those think they do pay and the annual refund just sort of happens, meanwhile it’s us who’s footing the bill for their pathetic existence so they can go out and protest/riot which is not offensive & racist to call out apparently.

I think that, out of every political group, our side is making the most sacrifices to benefit the whole of society. We’re putting our own needs behind so the entirety of the US has access to the American Dream within a reasonable time.

I sold all 12 acres of my property. The taxes (aka rent) I paid every six months cost more than leasing. Property taxes have insured that ownership is futile.

So under that same logic, if you own a successful business that leases property then you are living off of someone else? The point of leasing is that you pay them for use of the land. It isn't a serf relationship where the land owner 'allows' you to use the land in return for your service.

My mail person put mail for a house multiple doors down in my mailbox and they know I'm a Trump supporter because I get his campaign mail.
On Nextdoor I saw someone (rightly) complaining about their checks not being delivered for bill payment or not receiving other checks.
If nothing else incompetent USPS employees are worth worrying about.
They often deliver mail, have a package that requires them to get out of the vehicle, and instead of walking the package 50 feet to my door they leave a card in the mailbox that says 'we tried'. I then have to make a 45 min round trip plus time at the post office to pick up the package they didnt want to take 15 seconds to run up to my porch.
It was a post card from a vet reminding the owners it was time to make an appointment. I don't even have a pet.

What? We should make arguments that will change peoples minds. The integrity problems of open sign-up forms on the internet are not the same as the problems of using the mail system. Mail-in voting has so many problems that focusing on this is counter-productive and won't win any argument. If the left were pushing for online voting then yes, this would be a good analogy.
