We are in a strange position right now. Us Republicans are defending old Democrats (confederates and Andrew Jackson) in the name of preserving our nations history. It’s like if Saddam was gassing his own army but we are trying to save them. It’s a unique situation and I have never heard of anything like it
Andrew Jackson is 100 times the American patriot than almost any Republican nowadays. He would have personally dueled half of Congress on the White House lawn. And won too
He did so much man. Fought alongside his brother in the revolution at like age 12 or something. His brother died on the british prison ships. I think the rest of his family were killed by indians. He lead the tenessee (i believe) militia against the british and indians in the war of 1812 and ultimately led his ragtag militia outnumbered and outgunned to an incredible one sided victory against british regulars an battle of new orleans. (like over 2000 killed to less than 100 American patriots killed) He abolished the federal bank, had a public inaguration party with the public basically having a kegger in the white house. Dueled political rivals and anyone who talked shit. Was shot in the heart in one and still killed the other guy. Bunch more im forgetting. I wrote a paper about him when i was a freshman in hs and he really impressed me.
So they're just defending democrats then?

I don’t know enough about Andrew Jackson. I went to the Hermitage on a field trip in 5th grade but I don’t remember anything.
