Am I wrong, or is Christianity the very first occurrence on the entire planet of a religion not based on supremacy? Every other religion before or since Christianity has held the view that some humans were superior to others.

  • Judaism held that the genetic descendants of Abraham were superior. Non-Jews could convert but they'd never be equal and allowed the same worship.

  • Confucianism introduced the concept of the supreme being, the junzi, used to justify the ruling class. This has tied it to Chinese nationalism which is currently implemented as Han racial nationalism.

  • Bhuddism created karma and "total enlightenment" to designate a class of people (of course leaders like the Dalai Lama) as morally infallible.

  • Hinduism created the caste system and designated black people as animals.

  • Muslims hold that non-Muslims are also animals and sub-human.

  • Mormons also have a caste system, with ranks and pecking order of believers. And for 150 years black people were blocked from any leadership rank.

So unless I am mistaken, Christianity was the ONLY religion to teach the unifying concept that every member was equal in value to every other member.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

That is the problem she has with us. We love every good person. They instead hate everyone that is not THEM. Lived in South Florida for a while... their hatred for white Christians is only surpassed with their hatred of Blacks.
