In the battle of Mosul, advisors wanted the Iraqi army to aggressively maneuver, target and destroy the enemy. They were right.

The Iraqis saw the battlespace differently, more as a ‘liberation’ — and favored a slower, methodical approach. They were right, too.

At a little league soccer pitch, the coaches want players to play their hardest to win. They’re right.

Parents want their kids to make friends, have fun, and not get hurt. They’re also right.
