I was just thinking about the wildlife in the Black Hills. Those bears, wolves, mountain lions, etc. have to eat sometime.
There are some things not even animals will touch.
Perhaps racoons would. They at least would wash them before taking a bite. I have no doubt it would be the first hint of a scrubbing for many of them.
