It is a stupid statue, but on a positive note people in the neighborhood make sure his hand is painted red as symbolism for the bloodshed. Not sure how many of the actual commies realize though...
I would say something like this is exactly how we solve our statue issue. Of course the statues aren't there to honor horrible people, but we can't tear down our history. Give an extra emphasis to the horrors the statue represents, make it unavoidable. Turn it into a warning, not empty pedestal and a forgotten past.
Lenin is, unfortunately, a part of world's history. His crimes started something that affected greater part of the last century. Those crimes need to be talked about much more than they are.
When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles. - Frank Herbert
Then in 50 years when they've torn all the statues of anyone they disagree with and only statues of Lenin, Mao and Desmond is amazing are left standing we can rest assured that we didn't upset anyone and everyone learned that Lenin wasn't so great after all.
beautiful! patriots set up an autonomous zone around the Stalin statue (different part of Seattle than CHAZ). The mayor has to let it go right? They can have guns right?
While occupying the area, pull down the status on live streaming. Mayor has to let it go right? But also melt it down and make it a Trump statue. The will of the people, right? :)
But what if you melted it down and made slugs from it, then shot commies with those? Be kind of ironic not only to have Stalin responsible for a few more deaths from beyond the grave, but more so by doing away with this new batch of commie wannabes.
Not really my decision or opinion, but that definitely does have a more useful use than just trying to make another. If we are to make statues and all we should at the very least put data, history, and such about the period and make full use of it instead of a small portion.
I think cave paintings would be a good example in that it was used to transfer visuals with oral knowledge, but a more modern take of it might be best found in a video game: Skyrim: Alduin's Wall.
It gives a better representation of what I mean if needing to build statues at least in my opinion.
Wrong neighborhood but point taken.

'Looks around at the mobs of communists wrecking our historical markers.'
I beg to differ.

More reason to tear it down

Exactly, educate people, maybe put up a plaque or something.
That statue needs to be melted down and cast into a Trump statue.
There needs to be a Trump statue, you are so right!
Here’s one in CHYNA before they decided to infect us

No. If you want to do that go ahead, but make sure that material of that statue is never used again.
