No they're actually allowed to spread it. They say masks don't stop you from getting it, just spreading it. So lets stack up more murders at the hands of minorities in this country. Cool sweet.

Law school is a deep state cult and it takes serious reverse-brainwashing.

This is some of what you are indoctrinated to believe.

"Lochner is so stupid and racist. And right of contract is a not a real right, duh. Marbury is the bestest ever - so clever - Marshall really established the court's dignity with that move - no one can see through passive aggressive bullshit but me becuase I am extra smart! Huh? Under what authority does Oregon County HHS have authority to make Civil Rights and Interstate Commerce decisions (regardless of whether right or wrong)?

They don't. It's virtue signaling. Any self respecting person should just ignore the damn thing. It's Oregon after all. Just say you identify as a PoC. Problem solved.

These mask orders have flown in the face of the law since they were implemented. Hipaa, the ADA, even the 4th amendment. Why is it surprising they'd tack on a few more legal violations?

EXCEPTIONS

• People of color who have heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment due to wearing face coverings in public.

I have several college degrees, and I can't figure out what this even means.

EDIT: Fuck it, I'm a person of color. I hereby identify as such. Checkmate, assholes.

My skin isn't clear, is it? I'm not transparent, am I? Huh?? AM I??? There's some color there, a light beige if you will. And even if you won't, you bigot!

—PERSON OF COLOR

Man, I'm already enjoying my newfound royal status. I've never felt so...supreme. This is bitch...should've done this ages ago LOL :)

I think they mean that whites are too afraid of black people to make them wear masks.

Example: White clerk askes black person to leave store or put a mask on (hands person a free mask) and the black person screams at the clerk about "white privilege" and "racisim" and may or may not assult him or destroy property.

5

They say masks don't stop you from getting it, just spreading it.

This is why the ONLY people who should be wearing masks are people who are actually sick. If you're not sick, it's not going to help you. You shouldn't be wearing one because it's pointless.

As seems to be the case in a lot of this state... yet most of the locals, at least a surprising percentage, based on what I ran into when I lived in Newport and Lincoln City, run pretty conservative. And yet mysteriously we keep getting far left government officials... ? Hmm. It's almost like mail-in voting isn't reliable or something. Or.¯_(ツ)_/¯

Proven year after year... Drive up and hand your ballot to someone, they look at you, your vehicle and sort the ballot (purple hair in a pirus, keep it ... Male in a truck, trash that ballot)

These sure turned a once great state (end of the damn Oregon trail, some strong Africans made that trip just a few generations ago) into one full of the unwanted kind of pussy

It's not racism (well, who knows), it's fear.

They fear non-whites now. Like they fear muslims. The only people who still follow their rules are white people, so white people are the ones they enact their tyranny over.

I'm telling you, we're the ones that are getting played. White people are being total pussies right now. They will never stop until you tell them to fuck off.

The order LITERALLY says only healthy white people have to wear masks. Absolutely incredible.

That's you, and apparently, others who have upvoted your comment) and you all have the right to your opinion.
I'm not sure it's one's "smarts" that make anyone be afraid of a black church lady-type, or a Ben Carson type in a suit, just because they are black and wear a mask that everyone is forced to wear, but I know I'd be afraid of any thug-looking or commie terrorist-looking person of any race if they were coming towards me in a sparsely populated area.

6
deleted 6 points ago +8 / -2

leing15 -1 points ago +1 / -2

I didn't say that some black people randomly hitting white people is an opinion, and I'm surprised this is what you understood from what I said.

I was talking about you saying that you'd be afraid of ANY and ALL black people who would come in your direction - I guess they wouldn't even have to be wearing a mask, even though this is what we were talking about.

Whether we see videos of it or not, it's also a FACT that many black people help others, including whites. But the same way we know that just because most blacks are normal, decent people like everyone else, it doesn't mean that some black people aren't violent thugs; we should also know that just because some black people are violent thugs, it doesn't mean that most black people aren't decent people.

I would be scared and would be on heightened alert if I were wandering around in a black area, period. In these low-income, gang-infested black areas there is high concentration of black criminal thugs who don't like to see a white-looking person who is not from their "hood" wandering around. However, we were not talking about being in a crime infested black area. This thread is about blacks not being required to wear masks because of possible racial profiling by, obviously, white people, and it says nothing about the county in question being a "black area." You said you would be afraid of any person in a mask walking in your direction. You also didn't say anything about being in a "black area."

I'm neither crazy nor uninformed. I have seen videos of blacks hurting people just for being white. I know that blacks are responsible for over 50% of violent crime in the U.S., and I know black "hoods" are very dangerous, especially for non black people and outsiders. But that doesn't mean I think that every black person I look at anywhere in America is a thug that is going to attack me regardless of their appearance and demeanor.

What I said was that I would be apprehensive by seeing a thug-looking person (man or woman) of ANY race walking towards me in a sparsely populated area. I never said I wouldn't be scared of thug-looking blacks. I just am sure that, as a matter of FACT, there are thugs of every race, and not every black person looks like a thug. Of course, sometimes, appearances are deceiving, but that is also true in every race.

There is more, if you are scared of every black person, including church lady-types, but you're not scared of clearly thug-looking whites, you deserve whatever they choose to do to you.

I know there's a serious problem in the black community, I know that there has been no systemic racism in America for decades, I know blacks are not oppressed, I know that way too many blacks are criminals, I think affirmative action is racism against whites and blacks, I think BLM is a communist and terrorist organization. I think the blacks of today should see slavery as a white mistake (that many whites didn't approve of even at the time and fought against it), and as a black sacrifice that, despite its injustices, allowed them to be born FREE Americans instead of being born in the African jungle or in an African shithole city. You will not find a single leftist position anywhere in my thinking, and I don't "virtue-signaling," but I am surprised and disappointed in the number of people in this forum who endorse a statement that pretty much says that they can't look at a black person without thinking that every single one of them is likely a thug that will attack them, at the same time that they downvote another statement saying that it makes more sense to be afraid of every thug-looking person of any race than to be afraid of even decent-looking people just because of the color of their skin.

Unfortunately or fortunately, however you want to look at it, they didn't actually make it a legal mandate. It's more offensive but actually less binding than the Oregon Health Authority directive for all counties, and they say outright that the cops can't and won't do anything to enforce it. Thankfully, in most LC towns, this is probably true. Even from the perspective of being homeless in the area for 2 years, the cops were pretty reasonable and they're probably just as tired of this BS as the rest of us.

6
TheMutualist 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yes. But we just have to look back in time and recognize racial segregation wasn't erected overnight.

0
mischief-tea 0 points ago +1 / -1

I'm not saying to dismiss that this is wrong. I'm saying any of us who live in the area should not feel discouraged from continuing to live our lives as normal with impunity. They can't and probably won't do anything to us. It's not like the big cities.

I also feel like it's important, whenever given the opportunity, to make the informed decision to NOT COMPLY with such out-of-line "advisories". We can't let them think they can get away with continuing to control us without even following the due procedure of the law. This isn't a law or even an order. We don't have to follow it, and we shouldn't.

0
mischief-tea 0 points ago +1 / -1

ouch.

3
p8riot 3 points ago +4 / -1

Okay, that makes sense.

In my state it's required to wear them inside most places. I suppose if the business posts a sign saying all people must wear masks (as the state requires), then I can either respect their wishes as a private business, or go elsewhere.

But if EVERY store has that sign up, isn't that effectively the same thing as law?

9
July041776 9 points ago +9 / -0

None of these places have passed any laws. There are no quarantine laws, there are no mask laws, there are just directives and orders and guidelines and everyone is acting like they're laws. The whole idea of anyone being arrested over any of this stuff is pure lunacy because no laws were ever made in regard to any of this.

Follow that up with the fact that most (all?) state constitutions do not provide their governors with enough power to just decide to enact something as broad as a quarantine or mask law. They just can't. Not without actually putting in the time and effort to pass a real law.

4
The_Almighty_Kek 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's why I have not worn a mask this whole time. It's making everything really difficult for me. I can't make any of my appointments because I refuse to wear a mask. The government can't make me do it, but when every single medical facility, courthouse, post office, city hall, etc force you to do it as "policy", it really isn't any different from it being law, except for it not being a valid law.

I couldn't even renew my drivers license if I wanted to because there are cops outside the courthouse not letting in anyone who isn't wearing a cuckstrap. How do you fight that when they physically restrict you from entering the building?

But damnit I'm principled, and I refuse to bow to the government's fear campaign!

No additional enforcement authority: no person shall intimidate or harass individuals who do not comply.

So if people believe the first part carries as much authority as a law then so does the second part. Which means, that you can go anywhere you want because no one has any authority to force you to comply.

trauncher 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'll dig up the case law. Initially, I would say that not even a tortured interpretation of article 1.8 (enumeration of powers) of the US constitution provides this authority, but in speaking with a couple of friends who specialize in constitutional issues (both state and federal), they cite the cases off the top of their heads... without thinking too hard.

It's top of mind with anyone who polices government overreach. the issue is that there is no expedient resolution path to reign governments in... (thats our job... and we have been failing miserably by voting in these leftist tyrants). so any violation happens with virtual impunity given the lack of a clear path to redress.

I'll ask for a short statement from my legal friends, and will forward it back here. Facts are Friends... Not Food. :-)

This is truly dangerous stuff imo.

This is why I hate any rule the left comes up with, their rules are never universal and can't be. There's always weird ass exceptions that allow rules to be unequally enforced, applied, or interpreted.

10
MsAnthropic 10 points ago +10 / -0

Exactly. I had a “discussion” about this just the other day - I’m in Australia and our left want indigenous people to be given a dedicated “voice in Parliament” under the Constitution, so they can “have a say in decisions that affect them”. Screw that - they get the same voice everyone else does, ONE VOTE. I just cannot understand how anyone could think rewriting our Constitution to treat ppl differently based on race is progress, I really can’t.

Slam dunk racial discrimination case

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Except that you can't define "people of color" so they have a loop hole. Thing is I thought I was at liberty to identify as anything I choose and be called by whatever pronoun I come up with. So today I identify as a "person of color" and I'm thinking maybe also a bowl of strawberries.

This is a litigation lawyers wet dream come true.

I look like Ron Pearlman, but identify as black. Therefore I'm exempt! Haul me off to jail for not wearing a face diaper? I sue the fuck out of the city for racial discrimination. 🤩

It's not legal, so. You cant make up rules/laws based on the color of people's skin. No matter what anyone says.

Never mind the fact that if they are that worried they are actually putting lives at risk.

That won't work if your DL says White.

1

Just tell them you put down 'white' because you were scared of potential racial violence since it's all systemic now.

Oops. A county off. I'm disappointed it's not Corvallis.

0
mischief-tea 0 points ago +1 / -1

They don't even need to bother with Corvallis. It's a lib college town anymore anyways. I think they're going after the coast because it's become ironically conservative in the last decade with the influx of older retirees.

7
SJRebels 7 points ago +8 / -1

It almost makes you think the +10% Democrat county wants COVID to infect people of color more than white people.

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well it's Oregon so there aren't really any people of color for them to eliminate. What's more it's Lincoln City which is almost entirely white people and the people who mow their lawns.

mischief-tea 0 points ago +1 / -1

We actually have a very friendly and supportive latino community, although they're mostly out of Siletz. I would love to hear my old coworkers' takes on this right now. They've got to be scalding.

0
mischief-tea 0 points ago +1 / -1

Actually I've got to wonder - this might have nothing to do with blacks at all. I wonder if the Tribal Council at the casino had anything to do with it. I have no connections there anymore to ask, but it does make me curious.

That is so stupid it’s hilarious.

This is what happens when you get a liberal arts degree.

Idiots and lunatics

3
mischief-tea 3 points ago +6 / -3

Oy. Don't bring lib arts majors into this. Not all of us are morons. Haha

But yeah not gonna lie this county has been fucked up for years and the stranglehold of our last two governors hasn't helped AT ALL. The community is doing its level best regardless, so... I'm hoping they notice that it says right there in the directive: THIS IS VOLUNTARY. And they're not allowed to enforce it. It's "strongly suggested". Pffft.

People of color who have heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment due to wearing face coverings in public.

Either tell me this is fake, or tell me where Lincoln, OR is so I can drive there and slap you in the face for living somewhere like this! Are we still in the US?

I hope in 10 years we look back on this shit, and the idiots who perpetuated it are humiliated publicly. This should age like milk.

2

Everyone has a color, so it's meaningless.

2

Was wondering the same. How dark do you need to be? What if you're just really, really tan,? They need to put up a color wheel and signify the cut off. Maybe I'll call and recommend that.

Chinese_spy 1 point ago +1 / -0

For some minds, people of color = non-white persons

For other minds, people of color = persons with black or brown skin, thereby excluding white and Asian people

(Italians and Greeks are in limbo; decision still pending)

For the intellectual, people of color = people of colors, so every person is included because skin is never monocolor

For the colorist and color theorist, people of color = people of paler skin, since blood flow, blushing, sickness, and bruising are more evident by the grace of visual blue, red, green and purple

For the physicist, people of color = all persons excluding those with pure white or black skin, since white and black are not colors for they are without specific wavelengths

Thank fuck that as of today, I am officially a self-identified black tranny. I wasn’t sure which angle I should have gone with:

• Not wearing one because I have legitimate breathing issues more than likely brought on while serving (it actually does suck walking up a flight or two of stairs and getting winded when I used to have no problem knocking out 25 mile rucks and maxing out the APFT - shit’s brutal and totally not metal).

• Not wearing one because they aren’t effective.

• Not wearing one because fuck Oregon and the cunt who runs it. I call it an act of civil disobedience.

• Not wearing one because free men don’t ask permission to live their lives.

• Not wearing one because suddenly I am black and apparently laws do not apply to me anymore.

The wife already decided she’s not going to hold back. If some bitch gets in her face about her unwillingness to wear a face diaper, she’s not going to use soft words. She already said she’s going to bring out the big guns and directly explain to the Karen in question the harrowing and explicit details of how she was gagged and raped and how she isn’t going to be forced to have something over her face like that ever again. Her exact words,

If the cunt starts crying, shaking and is triggered by my account, I guess I succeeded.

"Exceptions: [..., then the last point:] People of color who have heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment due to wearing face coverings in public."

What the hell does any of that mean? Does it include every black person and just coincidentally mentions muh' oppression to appease the Marxists?
