Ideology of the brain means that you consider your model of reality as the only correct model by definition.
Which means that when the model fails, you cannot correct it. Again: the model is already correct, by definition. And if the model is correct, the reason it failed is because it wasn't applied correctly.
The USSR wasn't real communism, which is why it failed. California wasn't the real bleeding heart nanny state, which is why it failed. Nazi Germany wasn't a real ethnostate, which is why it failed. Iran isn't a real theocracy, which is why it's failing.
And the answer is obviously to try the same thing, only harder.
It doesn't even matter what the ideology is. Just the fact that you are sick with ideology of the brain will inevitably lead to the same mind-rot, the same behavior and the same excuses.
This is a great explanation of trying to talk to leftists. When talking to some of the more reasonable ones, one of the patterns I've noticed is they will often not try logic, but instead a stream of "did you know..." The assumption is that their logic is sound, and that the only reason somebody would disagree with them is due to a lack of data. The possibility that somebody else could have access to the same dataset and draw different conclusions never occurs to them, because like you say their model of reality is correct by definition.
I'm specifically not saying that this is the truth.
The above was pretty much an above quote I read in a discussion. The person claimed Nazi Germany failed because it wasn't pure enough and didn't do enough cleansing.
My point is that Nazi Germany was a always going to fail, even had they won the war in Europe, there is no end-game that leads to long-term growth, stability and prosperity for any state founded by and through ideology, whatever ideology that is.
Long term prosperity is the goal, and the only way to reach the goal is by searching for the best way forward at each moment in time in each specific situation, not by deciding the path in advance and following it through even if it leads off a cliff.
The only way of improving your chances of reaching the goal is to improve the decision making mechanisms, not deciding on something specific in advance.
We got one here in Missouri all the way back in the first Reagan administration. She worked with my mother at her realty office. Stupid bitch would.Not. LEARN that in MO, basements are a selling point for houses, NOT swimming pools! Moron kept trying to raise the list price on houses with swimming pools because that's a big selling point in CA, but here in MO, they're only useful 3-5 months of the year (May/June- Aug/Sep ), TOPS. That's the level of intellect we're talking about, albeit in this instance not political: An utter incomprehension that what applies to CA does NOT apply outside CA.
I work in a construction related industry. I see a lot of houses built every different way. There are places where having a basement is almost impossible due to soil conditions, but people put the effort in and make it happen because they really want a basement. Meanwhile I see places where there is nothing but dry sand for at least 10 feet below ground so building a basement is a snap and CHEAP, but a crawl space is used because they want the little extra money for a deck which could be built at sometime in the future. SMH. A pet peeve that drives me bonkers.
Go with the climate. Go with the site conditions. Don't fight Mother Nature. Don't build a house suitable for Arizona in upstate NY. Maintenance costs on square pegs in round holes can just eat you. Gables and broken ridge lines look cool and are a PITA. Rant over.
I grew up in CA. I've lived in NV, CO, NM, and TX. Whenever someone asks where I'm from, I never mention CA unless they specifically ask where I grew up.
I spent too much time in California and I learned Never to admit I am from a Flyover State.
>Therefore, my "friends" delighted in "outing" me at every opportunity: you haven't seen open bigotry and condescending ridicule like a clump of "woke" Californians ganging up on a Flyover State citizen who gets exposed in their midst. I've been using the term "Tolerant Left™" for many years, having dealt with this hypocrisy far too often.
I've seen it. Dated a girl back in highschool who was from Minnesota. She got shit on particularly hard for having the northern Minnesota accent, don't cha know?
Just talked to a lady last week here in CA who is moving this weekend with her husband, 2 adult kids and elderly mother to Arkansas. They are all conservatives and have lived here their entire lives. They sold their homes in two weeks, closed their successful business, bought a really nice place by the water for $230k and headed out. Also found out another long time (30 + years) local business owner closed his place and moved to South Dakota this last weekend. I went to his shop to pick up supplies and saw the note on the door. We are seeing this going on every week.
Spoke to a guy Sunday from Atlanta, been there for over 35 years. He's done, he's out. He said it too stressful there and everyone is always on edge. "It's a shit hole."
I'm also moving from CA. Part of my vetting process was to bounce potential locations off of my lefty coworkers. I picked the one they thought was the most horrific because I never want to see a California psycho leftist again.
Then move to a place that Californians would hate: Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, North Dakota, Maine.
The first thing they do is flounce around demanding enforcement of the same Leftist claptrap they fled from.
There are many reasons we Flyover State citizens despise those Carpetbagger dickheads. This is one of them.

Reeducation camps were created for a reason.
Woah there brain. I am glad you are on our side. I wish I could follow you on here.

And its going to become an even bigger shit hole with the non shit people moving out.
A lot of America is going to turn into Detroit in the coming years.
I know some will do the same for Virginia, but i'm gonna stay here and continue fighting for a little while longer.

Shhh don’t tell CA where the good places are ;)
Honestly I included these to distract them from where I live.
Hopefully, they'll hate Arizona's 110+ degree summers, and stay out.
