Gunna be honest. I got a 3d printer and have gone absolutely nuts. I dont get to use my massive armies of WH/WH40k unless I go to a shop to play, so I dont print those out anyways. Instead....D&D has become the new miniature beast. Also something my closer friends and family are more interested in.
I can print literally anything I want and play with it. The Ender 3 is a great printer IF you are meticulous about being perfect and precise during assembly. For a dude who builds/paints minis...shouldnt be an issue.
Ender 3 was my frist printer. It's awesome, great print quality for the price. However, it's been gathering dust since since I bought an Elegoo Mars. Mini's are much better that come out of that thing, and it takes like 30 seconds to set it up.
the Mars (and it's bigger brother, the Saturn) is a resin printer, so instead of a plastic filament being melted and deposited by the print nozzle, it uses a tank of liquid goo that gets hardened entire layers at a time from a LCD screen under the tank of goo.
