I took my girlfriend across country a couple years ago (she is an immigrant) to show her some history among other things. I remember getting west of South Dakota and asking her, "of all the things we've seen and the history we've learned did you once see any black people involved?" She said 'no'. I said, "so you can now stop listening to people on TV/movies and internet telling you that black people built this nation." And I wasn't making this point to her based on racism. First of all I wasn't racist and she already was toward blacks. Well after the last couple of months of watching blacks on TV acting like lawless monkeys trying to destroy the country I am starting to lean her way.
