I'd say no, not really. The Communist International / Bolsheviks abandoned the bankrupt Slavs and returned to their original, long-term plan for a Marxist Europe (and now that Europe is stupid and all the power resides across the Atlantic, a Marxist United States).
The Russian people were the victims of Bolshevism, not the perpetrators of it, and they paid an almost unimaginable price.
In some ways, we're living a truly dystopian nightmare: our country is currently racked by the detonation of a cultural bomb set long ago by a now-defunct enemy empire (see: Yuri B.).
However, in other ways it's worse: some of the folks who set that bomb are still active, setting plenty of new ones. They're just not Russians.
