"This is going to feed the 'Nascar is too political' people"....Why should Nascar or any sport be political, other than saying "We love the USA"?...know your demographic. No one watches sports to hear a debate.

And when did saying "I/We love America" become political? The left is complete and utter vile trash.

Something something dog whistle something something. I swear I've heard that term more in the past four years than in my entire time being on this Earth. If you keep hearing dog whistles, maybe you're the dog?

When the left took up the mantle of hating America, it became political to express your love of country.

That's a simple formula, but somehow the sports organizations screw it up

Every organization screws it up. What good earthly reason does a company like Burger King have to gain from virtue signaling? I've never met a single person who said "Oh, Wal-Mart didn't weigh in on the recent race riots, let's not shop there today." They only stand to lose by making woke comments.

IMO, all workplaces should be non-political. The only exception being organizations specifically founded around an ideology. The phrase "don't shit where you eat" often is meant to describe taboo things at work, like trying to date coworkers, or discussing politics and religion.
