Well, yeah. Being proven correct often has a way of making people feel they were correct.

I like that it’s still a “conspiracy theory” too.

“It should have been further investigated before it blew up like this.”

Yeah, but how do you get immediate emotional support and social currency if you let things be quietly investigated first instead of instantly megaphoning them across social media?

I’m starting to think that perhaps social media may be a progress trap and that humanity simply isn’t socially mature enough to exist on such an interconnected level.
