Part of me wishes we could just block twitter in the US, but that's a horrible precedent to set. At least until section 230 is revoked. I'm conflicted on that opinion.

They stopped being a neutral platform long ago. Now they are an undeclared superpac. They need to abide by campaign finance laws or be shut down.

Foreign enemies are buying tech platforms to silence American speech. Stuffing tech platforms with H1-B's.

It's time to get deadly serious about securing communications platforms. This is a national security issue.

To my knowledge there has never been a website blocked, or targeted for throttling in the US. Throttling has occurred for specific protocols, but never for specific content.

Nonsense , under DCMA and FBI actions they've seized thousands of sites. State could get a ruling seize the DNS in 30 minutes.

Yeah but since Google is like the main dns, do you really think they'd wipe it? Maybe I'm misunderstanding how they seize/remove it.

You can't have a rogue DNS server, that's not how it works. That would break the whole internet. If the feds seize your domain, it's seized across all DNS providers.

It would change in the root name server. If Google doesn't update to match other DNS servers will stop recognizing them as authoritative.

Nonsense! I didn't say shit about domain names. And, if the statement I originally replied to used the word Blocked, and I used the word Blocked, why are you now using the word seized?
